Good chance he’s averaging over 10 tackles a game by season’s end. Has anyone ever done that before?

Last (and likely the only) time it occurred was by Scott Selwood in 2017.

He and Soglio's development this year gives you hope for what we may see in 2023 from a few unknowns in Pedlar and Taylor.

The foundations are being built now we just need those 2 big-bodied, A grade midfielders.

Well deserved spot in the 22under22 squad! Looked alright last year tackling pressure wise but is really starting to string a few 20+ plus disposal games.

Had a quick laugh though there's a few people on the Poort board who can't believe such a player should be in the squad... Staggering but not shocked. must be upset Duursma isn't working out.

I'd hate to see how they view Soligo in a year :eekv1:😲

As good as his tackling numbers were this season (which was phenomenal), highlight for me was in that game against Sydney about a month ago where he burst out of the midfield twice in the last of a few minutes to kick two goals. He just looked so switched on reading and hunting the ball and the finish which has been missing in his game somewhat was there.

If he can build on that ball hunting and composure with ball in hand, he'll be a huge asset for us going forward.

Also kicked a nice goal on the run from just inside 50 against Port, he's developing that side of his game nicely too

Only 5 tackles off Priddis who holds the record for most tackles in a season and played 6 less games than he did, absolutely insane numbers

The record is Scott Selwood with 202. But he played finals and his average was just over 8 a game.

Oh right, maybe couldn't see the whole table in the Tweet then. Surely 9.5 tackles per game is a record for someone that played over half a season?

9.5 is the highest average in that table by almost a whole tackle a game. If he played 22 he would've beaten selwoods record comfortably in 3 less games

Has been my disappointment as I tipped him for a breakout, it will be a test for him, I expect him to grit his teeth and bounce back
There are certainly signs of a good player there. Is not slow, has good endurance, can tackle like a beast. Lets hope he can put it all together. Maybe the one he is a bit more like is Ben Keays?

I see him how I viewed Jones, he is an AFL footballer

edit: I think he’s the one to displace Keays
