Interested to know... didn't our Menzel have it? wonder how it's holding up? What about Liberatore Senior he did it as well as a Sydney player years ago. I relise the op only holds on for a number of years but if it can be effective for Doc's prime???
If the LARS ruptures again during his rehab then I'm not even sure it would add much additional time into his recovery in terms of 2020 games missed, given it's happened towards the start of preseason... I think they might look at it.

Worst part about this for me isn’t the fact he’s out a year. It’s that it’s his second one on the same knee.

Seriously worry now he’s going to end up ruined by injury.

This is a cruel blow for Carlton but a cruel blow for footy as a whole. Gun player and great to watch.

I hope I’m wrong and Doc can come back 100% from this.

**** I hope others step up. I couldn’t handle another 2018 season.

So devastated for Doc. Can’t believe it.
Does anyone know how this happened?

Our ******* medicos all need to piss off. If he was training full load when he had any inkling of not being 100% , I’ll be furious with the club.

Wishing him well, hurry up and get back to us Doc.
In all fairness to our poorly perceived medicos... we've been pretty lucky with ACL's. Kreuzer would be the last one we really had and he's come back alright, as did Waite and Fisher. Can't recall too many ACL's we've been unfortunate to have prior to Sam.

What are you even talking about? He could have played last year, has been training for months.

Once an ACL goes they can be ticking time bombs but yeah, be furious with the club.

Can we see the club communicate something, anything,to us in short time.
He did his ACL this morning, I'm not sure how you could possibly be disappointed with the time frame in which it took to release the news. They'd have to get him off the track, get him comfortable, call his wife and allow him time to try and digest the news before the Herald Sun got a sniff that he'd even hurt his knee. Then you have to actually have the MRI, which there wouldn't have been a rush on. Bizarre that you're annoyed about this.

The club medicos would know pretty quickly... ACL test pretty much would've given them the answer. MRI is just to make what is known 100% and to see the severity of it.

LARS him please, worth the risk. He'll likely rupture another graft anyways.

From my limited knowledge, LARS is only possible when there's still some ACL left.

I agree. if it's a possiblity, the medical team will consider it. I think it would be the best thing mentality for Doc, 2 years of rehab is allot of for anyone to go through.
