Thanks for the share. 👍

Looking forward to the Amazon show in March.

Fyfe put his body through hell to stay on the park and bled Purple.

He looks very content with his life on the farm.

I wonder if he might just disappear into obscurity. Doesn’t seem the type to rock up to Brownlows.
I suspect he might miss the bright lights after some time away & ease into some media. He’s such a natural.
Imagine him & Kath anchoring something. Eye candy for every taste and they’re both intelligent and articulate. Would raise the IQ of the commentary exponentially.

Could replace Pav

Anything I have seen of Fyfe, he seems smarter than Pav. Would love to see him around the club.
Fyfe is more emotionally intelligent and articulate than anyone I'm aware of in the football world.
I think after some time away from the game to reflect and mature he could be an incredible mentor in a development role.
I also believe he could be a great coach but I doubt he'd want to put himself in the bull ring again.

Sam's next stop is in South Australia to catch up with former Perth resident Jack Van Tongeren. Having recently interviewed budding political agitators Thomas Sewell and Blair Cotterall, Sam plans to ask for Jacks insight into their politics and why it is good for Australia.

As Anchor Man said, dickhead doesn't come close.

edit, spleling.

Jesus. Jack Van Tongeren is a deadset lunatic moron. He used to live just up the road from me, and when my kids were little they used to call his place ‘the scary man’s house’.
It was tongue-in-cheek when I said it kinda makes you forget what a dickhead Sam is. You can never forget what a racist, homophobic, misogynistic, RWNJ dickhead he is. But that bit with Fyfe was actually interesting, I must say.

I took a phone call from one of Jacks friends threatening my dad for a letter to the editor he wrote. They killed a bloke in the next suburb not long after that.

Holy shit! The lot of them were psychos. Actually I’m thinking of someone else who lived up the road, not JVT, fortunately I’ve never lived close to him. But still, the lunatic comment stands. Absolute stain on society.

Fantasy thought is Fyfe could do 5-6 weeks of training and play just one more match in the SOO vs Victoria.
I doubt he would want to put himself through that. I rather think from what he's said he went through a lot of mental torment when he lost his powers and gave it everything trying to get his body right but he seemed quite tortured at the end with the way his kicking completely fell away, not even trying to mark overhead.

I feel like the clinic of inside work against the Dogs a couple of years ago in the first quarter was the last squeeze of the lemon just to show he could still dominate but he never really did that again.

I imagine it's a massive load off his shoulders being out of the limelight and away from expectations.

C'mon it's only an exhibition game and it's not like he's been out of football that long or missed much since he last played. Let him have a few training runs with the Lake Grace-Pingrup Parachutists or whatever they're called then bring him up for the final week leading into SOO.

I'm sure he could do it. Its more I reckon he probably feels like someone who was literally the best at something and quite quickly had to come to terms with not being able to perform at that level and put himself through hell trying to get back to a semblance of it and never really did and the relief he'd be feeling now would far outweigh and desire to exhibit himself in front of a crowd for some time yet.

When he does it will be, I believe dipping his toes in the media spotlight but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if he does a Tony Locket or whatever. I'd give higher probability to his returning via the media and maybe even coaching or mentoring but I would give long odds on him playing sport again at anything beyond a social level if that.

Its just my opinion as a therapist and student of human psychology.

If someone has had the displeasure of listening to that, Id love a rundown. The audio was so bad I couldn't bring myself to watch it
