Surely they're all gone when the earnings v costs of the show fall below a certain point. Have tried to watch it only a couple of times since I left Radelaide in 98. Terrible show, but there's plenty worse that manage to find a spot on FTA or Foxtel. People are idiots by and large, if you market a product to a national audience aimed at the intellectual, you won't find yourself on commercial FTA.

In terms of Newman, I understand he does not appeal to many, particularly the younger members of the community who are very righteous, but in terms of football knowledge and being able to critically think about the game, he is usually in tune with the older demographic who have been watching footy for decades.

I can see how he would be grumpy about the game itself, as it is a far cry from the sport he owned. It's as though he is a man who had something he loved taken away from him. Whether the game is better or worse isn't his issue. It's just not what he grew up with, so he dislikes it, and that negativity toward the current product is evident when he speaks about modern footy

Just as free as people are to wish he would retire or die. Seriously whether you like him or not it's ****ing boring how everyone swims in the same direction on all media platforms for fear of being branded.

Show has been dead for years. They had to get Eddie back to try save it, but it’s a sinking ship. But to the original post, no chance. Sam is the heartbeat of the show. If he goes, the show will stop soon after!
