Senior List
Thought I might as well do one.
1- Melbourne - Tom Scully
No explaination needed
2- Melbourne - Jack Trengove
In my opinion Melbourne need 2 midfielders more than they need another tall forward. Trengove is my second rated player in the draft.
3- Richmond - John Butcher
Richmond despiretly need a big target up forward. Riewoldt is good but I dont think he is good enough to be the number 1 forward in the team. In Butcher they get the perfect player for the job.
4- Fremantle - Anthony Morobito
I was tossing up four names here; Morobito, Martin, Cunnington and Lucas. If Butcher some how lasted to here I think Freo would be quick to get him. I rate Martin extremely highly and probably the third best midfielder in the draft. But with Morobito Freo get a home town boy and a player with a heap of X-Factor.
5- Kangaroos - Dustin Martin
The Roos should be extremely happy with Martin. He is an out-right gun. Has been labelled by many as the rolls-royce of the draft. He is a complete midfielder; Can mark, run, kick, handball and find the ball well. The Kangaroos midfiled will look extremely good in 1-2 years with Martin, Ziebell, Anthony and Swallow among others.
6- Sydney - Gary Rohan
Was tossing up between Rohan, Lucas and Cunnington here. Polished or X-Factor. In the end I went with Rohan because of the huge amount of X-Factor he has. The one problem with his game is he can go missing at times.
7- West Coast - Kane Lucas
The same as many, I have the Eagles going with the home town boy Lucas. He has a good engine and is one of my favourite midfielders in the draft. His disposal lets him down at times though.
8- Port Adelaide - Luke Tapscott
Like the Eagles I can see Port taking a home town boy. Was tossing up between Panos and Tapscott. Tapscott is a polished midfielder and can also pinch hit up forward.
9- Hawthorn - Daniel Talia
With Rohan gone I think the Hawks will be very happy with Talia. He seems to be just the type of defender they need.
10- Essendon - Ben Cunnington
I think Essendon will take the best midfielder left, and that is Cunnington. I have him as probably the 7th-8th best player in the draft.
11- Carlton - Matthew Panos
Carlton will be delighted with Panos. They need a key forward to play alongside Fev and I think Panos would be the perfect fit. I was also tossing up Talia.
12- Brisbane - Allen Christensen
Brisbane will take either the next best inside midfielder/a key forward or a running mid. In the end I chose the running mid Christensen. He has pace to burn whitch will suit the Lions. Was also tossing up Koby Stevens. Aaron Black and Lewis Jetta may be surprise picks.
13- Adelaide - Koby Stevens
The Crows will be delighted that Stevens has slipped to them. A complete player that will gel perfectly with Vince, Mackay, Thompson and Dangerfield in years to come. May pick up Talia if he is still there.
14- Collingwood - Nathan Vardy
If Talia is still there they will pounce in my opinion but with him gone I see them adding a Ruckman to team with Wood as Fraser isnt getting any younger.
15- Western Bulldogs - Jordan Gysberts
Bulldogs will take the best player left and in my opinion that is the midfielder Gysberts.
