Am watching the first quarter of the prelim and geez i wouldnt mind having the big fella in the black and white. Sure he is against jolly, but he is sooo dominant! How hard would it be to get him to sign, the freo fans are always bragging about there quality talls, could they afford to let him go?

probably just wishful thinking on my behalf

wouldn't that make his performance even more great given the fact that jolly is probably in the top 5 ruckmen in the AFL at the moment? you seem to not rate him, or did i interpret ur post wrong??

Yeah Jolly is no joke, he can ruck. It shows how much Sandilands is domintaing the ruck. Man he is a massive unit though, 124kgs:eek:

Not bad for an 18 year old who is 202cm and 95kg

Pity he will go in the top 3, so they say.

He is a very good footballer but still overrated because of the media hype. Just about every game the commentators scratch their heads asking how can they stop him, even when he is not in great for and even when he was still developing and very very raw. How many times has he had a truly great game? Not that many. He is overrated by the media because of the whole tallest player ever thing and they get hard while he reaches over the top and gets a clear tap out ....to the opposition. Not to mention he is only average around the ground (still better than most archetypal dinosaur ruckmen) but since he is so tall the media say "he moves well for a giant".

He has alot of improvement left in him and still is pretty raw which is awesome considering he is already pretty good. He will learn how to become a linking player through the midfield with experience and also when to float forward, and what to actually do when he is there (when he is rested forward he is pretty clueless). He will make AA ruckman at least once but for now, despite a great prelim, he has done very little in the AFL world.

This isn't a shot at Sandilaands it is a shot at the hype that has been created around him.

I try not to post in other teams boards (bar Eagles) but this is just the biggest load of sh*t i have heard in ten to twenty years...

I no for a fact you dont watch much (if any) of the Dockers because he has been one of the main reasons the dockers even played tonight, totally smashed Cox, Lade and then White in last weeks final and from what i am told they are the "best" going around...

Now if sandilands goes to the pie's what would you give freo???

overated my arse! he isnt even at his prime yet! all we need is a good tap ruckman, and that is exactly what he gives to the dockers!

i say trade tarrant and lockyer for him

At Freo there are two "untradeables" IMO - Pavlich and Sandilands. Sorry guys, the Big Fella won't be going anywhere. Unless he (or Pav) asks to - and then it would take a lot to satisfy Freo. A whole lot.

Sandilands has developed very well into a top class tap ruckman, even if height says he should be doing that week in week out. The added value is his superior work at ground level and his brain and vision. He is a class act, and definately next year, with more time in the middle, he will become a top 5 ruckman, if not already.

I wouldn't expect him to be on the market except if he himself wants to leave the club. He is a boy from the West, and has continued great service to the Dockers, playing well over 50 games now.
 
The two best ruckman in the AFL are from W.A.

Cox and Sandilands are a credit to their teams and go along way in proving why both W.A sides have been so successful in 2006.

In any side can pry them away, they'd almost be guaranteed in turning their side around overnight.

Good luck to them and their teams l reckon..............:thumbsu:
