Sandringham destroyed ladder leader Werribee today by 68 points. Brock McLean was again BOG with 33 possessions, with Ward not too far behind him.
How the Demons went:
Daniel Bell: Solid game in defence. Ball didn't get down there too much but he looks very good overhead and provided plenty of dash. Won't get promoted yet, but doesn't look too far off. 14 possessions (according to Demonland).
Peter Walsh: Pretty ordinary I thought. Werribee players were brushing him off too easily and his disposal wasn't great.
Cameron Hunter: Had a shocker. Did nothing in the first half and I think he spent most of the last half on the bench.
Nick Smith: Very impressive first half, and a pretty fair game all round. Kicked 2 goals I think. Still a fair way off senior footy.
Chris Heffernan: One of Sandy's best. Got stacks of the ball (around 25 touches), used it well and tackled hard. Probably won't play against the Blues, but will be back in the senior side sooner or later.
Daniel Ward: As I said, he was probably BOG behind Brocky. Started like a house on fire, and was outstanding all match. About 25-30 possessions and ran hard. Will be back next week for sure.
Chris Johnson: Very impressive game from CJ. While he is tall (190cm), he moves like a midfielder and from what I've seen of him, he will become a very handy forward at AFL level. Very classy. 15 possessions (according to Demonland).
Chris Lamb: Solid. Actually got quite a bit of the ball, but also was dragged in the first quarter for giving away a silly 50m penalty. His opponent did bugger all.
Brock McLean: Absolutely destroyed the Tigers, and was BOG. Got over 30 possessions (I tryed to keep count), used the ball magnificently, and quite frankly, if he doesn't play against the Blues ND is mental. Star.
Nathan Carroll: Solid, not spectacular. Won't get a look in our current side.
Luke Williams: Ordinary, very ordinary. To his credit, he went in hard. But his disposal is horrible, and if he gets another game in the Red and Blue... we're really struggling. Sorry Willo.
Paul Newman: Unsighted.
Adam Fisher: Busy as always. Playing good footy but sadly I don't think he'll make it to AFL level.
Troy Broadbridge: Not too bad at all. Disposal has improved and he looks pretty confident at the moment. Won't be recalled.
