Sandy win again!

I tuned into the 2nd half of Sandrinham's fairly impressive win over the Northern Bullants at Preston.

McDonald,Williams,Funcke,Godfrey,JAY-mar,Armstrong,Clarke and Breese, All made an appearance.

To be honest no one stood out in the 2nd half I thought. Williams kicked 3 goals, 1 of which I saw. He also set up another with an intelligent handpass in the 3rd quarter, and was the best of the Dees I saw.

Armstrong got a bit of it in the 3rd but disappeared after that, don't think he was injured more likely ineffectual.

McDonald was disappointing too I thought, I hope he regains some form.

Jamar did some good ruck work & took a strong mark which he converted with a smart kick, he kept it low into the wind. It's good to see because his skills were a worry I thought during pre-season.

Miller did pretty well in defence.

Funcke did nothing as far as I could tell, but did kick a goal in the first half.

Godders was Godders, ok.

Breese (Who was referred to as Breeze by the ABC commentators, we'll have to call him Breezer I reckon.

Clark didn't do much.

So in summary Miller & Godders were solid & they will continue to push for selection. Williams will need a few more performances like today's to get back in. Macca will need to lift.

i didn't think clark was playing, i didn't see him play anyway. yeah not much presence from the melb boys today, godders was good in the 1st tho.

Everyone calls him Breezer.. i picked that up aggeees ago. But i still thing Breesey is better.

Yep that just about sums up Clark's day, plenty of ground time but no possesions.

I barely noticed Breezer either but like I said I only saw the 2nd half.

nah, i gotta say i much prefer just calling him breese or breesey rather than breezer... but its all the same - comes back to the same person

I loved Ben Beams the day he broke his arm and let Farmer on to kick 9! It was so nice of him to do that!

ben beams wasn't useless!
he played well when he got the chance in the seniors and did well always in the reserves!
hes doing real well for tassie this year too.
i heard some rumours from a friend of his, that he's apparently very hard to get working and training well...would you think that would have anything to do with it?

I also watched the match on the ABC and it was good to see Jamar getting a touch (i now know who you are talking about ). From what i saw though, the Bullants came back (if you can call it that, the gameplay was **** with Northern allowed to kick uncontested goals, now i know its a different game from the AFL but if these youg'uns want to get a kick in the big league, they had to step up, all the time!

Apart from that: great response from the crowd (especially the little kid yelling out: "that was **** umpire!")
Sad to see Drew Morphett's career has skyrocketed since Channel Seven

Beams was allright, but we got rid of him when we had to I reckon. He seemed to lose a bit of passion in his last season.
