Reverse ladder order so I think it will

Call me crazy but wasn't this slightly altered so that teams that got picks last year don't necessarily get them this year........

Nah Norwood will take any talls they can get at the moment, chronic shortage of them espicially up forward. We take Forster-Knob and I will be angry!

Here's my phantom Mini-Draft
North - Scott Stevens
Glenelg - Fergus Watts
South - Troy Chaplin
Norwood - Rob Forster-Knight
Port - Ben Hudson
Sturt - Luke Peel
Eagles - Michael Pettigrew

I hope that pans out. He would get planty of opportunities at the bays and can develop with the likes of Schuback and Krueger which could be a real plus. I also rate Noble's development of players. This would be the best case scenario as far as Watts is concerned.Originally posted by Jars458

Even though i support Sturt, I really hope that Reilly will change clubs- maybe to the Legs. He wasnt given a go at Sturt and they didnt help his development one bit.Originally posted by Jerome
Are there any Crows/Port players looking at changing SANFL clubs next year - ie Brent Reilly? If so, would this determine who goes where in the mini draft?

We did it before when we picked Stenglein.Originally posted by Stiffy_18
Port wouldn't overlook one of their "own" so the chances of Hudson going to Port are slim.![]()

Very good question. However, I think it will be a long time before NT team joins the SANFL.Originally posted by PAfolwr
Lets not forget there may be some rookies from interstate as well.
As an aside, how will this minidraft be adjusted when the NT joins?
Surely the AFL clubs will not want their players traveling between Darwin and Adelaide too often.
They are now talking sooner rather than later.Originally posted by Stiffy_18

There is no question that something has to be done about the number of clubs in SANFL. Either get rid of one or intoduce another one. They have been talking about NT team joining the league for years and nothing has eventuated. I doubt anything will happen in the near future.Originally posted by PAfolwr

The company that Jackson now works for has apparently offered his services to the NTFL for free, and the AFL is very keen on the idea apparently.
Only going by a few newspaper reports here, so it may all be a crock of you know what.

The NT got close a few years back but apparently it's finances were a mess. Subsequently they put it on the backburner for a few years.Originally posted by Stiffy_18
