Round 19 Fixture:

Saturday 11th August
Sturt v Eagles @ Adelaide (ABC TV)
North v Central @ Prospect

Sunday 12th August
Glenelg v Port @ Glenelg
South v West @ Noarlunga

Norwood bye

Andrew McIntyre named at FB for the Roosters while rookie Greg Gallman is named ruck rover for the reserves.

John Hinge will line-up in defence for Glenelg, and James Sellar is a chance to be recalled to the league team after good form in the reserves.

• Rookie utility James Turner is the lone Crow in action at Noarlunga.

He's only a kid though so it's good to see him learn new positions, whether he plays there or not is up to Bluey. Absolute champion bloke is Greg.

Saturday is a pearler of a day, both games will be rippers and will go a long way to deciding the double chance. I will be at the Taj as usual, hopefully the ***** beat the Dogs for once, and (this sickens me) I hope Sturt win.

Sturt are a bit like the Kangaroos, everyone is waiting for us to fall over because we werent expected to be where we are, and RL I never EVER thought Id hear you say that :thumbsu:. We never beat the Eagles so I wouldnt be surprised if this trend continues, especially seen as theyre getting their act together or so it would seem.

On paper, it looks like a top round of football matches.

Another crucial game for the Bays to cement their place in the top-5.

Well if Sturt win it keeps the Eagles down, especially if North win.. plus we have to go to Woodville next week. Not a bad fortnight eh, the two reigning grand finalists back to back.

Port playing for free this week ;)

Yeah tough weeks but thats the way it goes sometimes. Surely game of the round has to be South Vs West, itll be who does their best not to lose.

Nah who would go to that dump to watch those 2 teams play ??? Especially with the weather being a bit dodgey by the sounds.

Breaking a lot of hoodoos this year though - North, Centrals, Norwood.

If they beat the Eagles we'll know they've arrived.

Haha that will be a beauty, at Noarlunga too, will the crowd get to three figures?

A very high probability, and the loser of the game should be kicked out the SANFL.

After expecting my son to be with me today I hadnt made any plans to see the Sturt v Eagles match but my son is sick so here I am in front of the tv, just started on tv and the Eagles get the first score of the day with a point

PC is Mattner playing? I did a quick flick over at half time of the hawks / lions games (v good game) but didn't see him so I presume that he is the travelling emergency

Havent heard him but I did think I caught a glimpse of his hangdog expression standing the mark at the end of the quarter

Eagles 2.3 15
Sturt 1.2 8
