Newcastle v Liverpool FOX SPORTS

Boreingham v Blackburn

Leeds v Chelsea

Leicester City v Arsenal

Newton Heath v Aston Villa FOX SPORTS

Middlesborough v Portsmouth

Fulham v Bolton

Without the likes of Kewell, Baros, Owen & Carragher, Liverpool should offer little scoring potency and Newcastle at home should account for them.

Tommy Smith chose Leeds as his upset of the week, I don't know what he's been smoking but Leeds will need to play there best game of the sesaon to get anything of Chelsea. Also looking at Leeds line-up and Chelsea's formidable defensive record Leeds will have trouble scoring.

Man Yoo never score much against Aston Villa and from recent memory they only ever seem to score one goal against us, besides that ridiculously lucky FA cup win they had against us a couple of years back. We should have beaten Newton Heath at OT last year only for a late Forlan strike to destroy our hopes. This year after two successive wins our general Olof Mellberg will lead his troops into an unlikely result at Old Trafford. Providing Fergie keeps the same line-up as last week, eg; P. Neville, Fortune and Forlan. Optimism aside I think we may get beaten by a goal, but our appaling away record must end soon and what better place to do it than OT.

Arsenal will have no Henry or Vieira. There resolve will be tested against a so far impressive Leicester. With Arsenal yet to be defeated this season in the EPL a Leicester win here is possible. If you're a betting man you'd probably get good odds at Sportsbet for a Leicester win.

Boro have kept something like six consecutive EPL clean sheets along with there 120 min clean sheet midweek. Portsmouth have faded after a good start to the season and a Boro win or a 0-0 draw looks likely.

Small Heath much the same. There defense has been unravelled in recent games and a 1-0 win or 0-0 draw here is entirely o the cards.

Fulham v Bolton would probably be the match of the round for me.
Two rising teams some exciting players on show it should really be a cracker.

My tips:

Newcastle v Liverpool 2-0

Boreingham v Blackburn 1-1

Leeds v Chelsea 1-2

Leicester City v Arsenal 0-0

Newton Heath v Aston Villa 2-0

Middlesborough v Portsmouth 1-1

Fulham v Bolton 1-2

Here's my tips:

Newcastle v Liverpool 1-2

Birmingham v Blackburn 1-1

Leeds v Chelsea 2-4

Leicester City v Arsenal 2-3

Manchester Utd v Aston Villa 1-1

Middlesborough v Portsmouth 1-3

Fulham v Bolton 1-0

be very interesting to see how Arsenal go without Henry there.Leicester will also be missing Izzet who has been great for them this season but i think Arsenal arnt anywhere near the same side without Henry so Leicester to win 1-0

for some reason I agree with Tommy Smith. I think Leeds have a hell of a lot of heart and more talent than they get credit for. Go the whites!!

Managed to catch the Newky-Liverpants bovver at SJP...

Can I just say what a fortunate bunch of lucky bastards the scousers are, as a gaggle walk past with my hubcaps. They turn up to SJP with a skeleton crew and come away with a miracle point thanks to Titus "I'm blackmailing Uncle Bobby" Bramble. No no, don't anyone give credit to that silicon t!t Danny Murphy and his smartarse shoosh celebration, it was 100% Titus' fault.

Send this hack Bramble back to Portman Road where he belongs. How many goals and points is that he's cost us now? He is HOPELESS, USELESS and ******ED. In the lead up to the scousers' goal, for those that didn't see it and don't know what I'm ranting about, Jonathon Woodgate had FSP marked good and proper and had just risen to easily nod a ball played in from the left away to safety. "Fook!" says Titus, "I'll have a bit of that!"... so he charges over to the aerial contest and barges Woody over for no apparent reason. Instead of being headed 20 yards to safety, the ball falls kindly for Danny Murphy who slots past Seamus with ease. 1-0 to Livinginthepast.

Later on, when it's 1-1 and we're having 1000 shots cleared off the line, Liverhoof manage to break away on the counter. Not to worry though!... Titus has the seemingly easy task of shielding and clearing the ball away from that world-renowned strongman of muscle might and power, Vlad "'Harry nicked my number cause I'm sh|te" Smicer. What's this though? The crowd go up like they're at a pantomime... WHOOOOA!! Behind you! Behind you!!... Alas, Vlad smites his opponent and Titus ends up on his sizeable arse. Lucky for him Vlad remembered he was sh|te and bollocksed the 1-on-1 with Seamus who'd remembered to take his brain medication this time.

Our luck has to turn soon - as 6 gimme points turn into 2 because of schoolboy errors and mistakes.

And for the love of god SBR... bring Dabizas back into the team to stand beside Woodgate, I know he's rubbish but at least he's recyclable. Bramble and O'Brien are hacks.

we were very lucky to get a point against Leeds, we had a few chances but they're defence kept us at bay

...Leeds will trouble a lot of sides from now till the end of the yr and i don't reckon they'll get relegated if they continue to play like that every game

For a defence that had leaked 33 goals up until last week I have been surprised how tight it has become. Spose thats what happens when you have a back 4 who speak the same language! :p

I was over the moon with our performance and hopefully the confidence gained from this effort will lead to some more wins and a move up the table.

But we are a totally different side to the one that was beaten by Bolton only 2 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago, most Leeds fans would have tipped a flogging against Chelsea, but all of a sudden we have found some form and are matching it with the top sides in the league. I would guess that the promising news regarding a possible buyer of the club as well as Eddie Gray's coaching has been the catalyst in that improvement.

Far be it from Stam to actually comment on the content of the post, but I digress...

It's true, Titus Bramble is the worst player to ever step onto a soccer pitch.

Pretty sad but I was delighted with a point given the side we had on the park.

Bloody Smicer - that one-on-one was an absolute soda, what was he trying? He ain't Harry Kewell.

And good to see GH put up the shutters with 40 minutes to go when he took Sinama off.

Still, some good signs. Apart from the penalty Kirkland had an excellent game in goal, the back 4 performed very well (Riise and Ostembor in particular).

And yes, Titus Bramble is rubbish.

Arsenal 1-1 Leicester City

We miss a prime opportunity to regain top spot after Chelsea drew with bottom of the ladder Leeds, that could be costly.

Bet SBR is glad he didn't waste the £4 million he wasn't prepared to spend on Distin. £5 million for Bramble is a much better bet.

:D ;)

Moomba

[edit]If the FA has any consistency, Stephen Gerrard will get an appointment with the judiciary just in time to be suspended for the Man City match. If it's good enough for Sol Campbell it should be good enough for Gerrard.

Will it happen, no chance.[/edit]

I'm very proud of the way Leeds played last night. I believe we were very unlucky to lose but i'm still happy to pick up a point considering it was top vs bottom. The defence was brilliant last night.

Gee I don't know about be lucky,Chelsea controlled the ball pretty much the entire game.To Leeds' credit they were super tight in defense.I felt Hasselbaink and Crespo were very dissapointing, they both got more than enough ball to score at least 1 goal.Viduka showed them hows its done, best game i"ve seen him play for a while with very limited opportunities.

The stock-standard response from a Liverpool fan to anyone except Leeds, Man United, Blackburn or Arsenal fans. Thankyou for proving my point... you're living in the past ;)

What he said

I dont mind Bramble and i think in time he will become a reasonably good player but he needs to find some consistency one minute he is having an absolute cracker and the next he does something stupid eg cappering Woody or slicing a clearance. Two weeks in a row we had a calamity at the back!!!

Also we need a new bloody striker to partner Shearer, Ameobi just doesnt cut the mustard! He needs to find his striking boots soon as we cant always rely on Shearer or Robert for goals.

How frustrating are Newcastle to watch hey, seriously!

Too long! ;)

When it comes to Manchester United, the Liverpool fans stock standard response is to blather on about 18 championships (13 years and counting lads) and 4 European Cups (the last one about 20 years ago).

Living in the past indeed.

Spurs also had a magnificent 5-2 victory over a, er, motivated Wolves side. Keane & Kanoute are a dangerous duo up front, we just need to tighten up the middle of the midfield so it's not so easy to "play through" as Mark Lawrenson said the other day. Apparently Dalmat's "icing on the cake" 5th goal is well worth watching tonight.
