Better than Saw IV is what Il say. Saw 5 is a hell of a lot better, but very predictable.

The group traps were so obvious right from the start when the "Jigsaw" voiceover says something like 'Your instincts will tell you to do one thing, but I implore you to do otherwise...' Basically shouting at them to work together, and not against each other. My initial thoughts became glaringly obvious when they had to smash the jars and get the keys....why did they think only one person could fit into one of the pipes? All 5 of them could have fitted in there!!! And it took them until the end when they both had to lose 5 pints of blood to realise!

I just thought of something that makes sense.

At the end of Saw IV, they show Hoffman listening to the tape recorder left by Jigsaw before he was killed. It said, "you think it's over because I am dead? I can assure you the games have just begun."

When it was shown in Saw V that Hoffman murdered Seth and made it look like a Jigsaw trap, Hoffman is bribed by Jigsaw to help him with some of the traps shown in Saw II, III, IV and V, otherwise Jigsaw would have used evidenced against him to send him behind bars.

Hoffman would have been thinking "beauty, he's dead, now I don't have to worry about continuing on with his games, because no-one will find out I killed Seth"... WRONG! The box that Jill Tuck opened in Saw V would have contained a note reading something like, "Make sure Hoffman continues my work and, if he fails to continue it, I want you to help frame him for the murder he committed that I was accused for."

Who else would know that Hoffman set the trap the kill Seth other than Jill? I can't think of anyone still alive who would know.

Maybe, but Hoffman didn't really look all that scared at the end of Saw V like he was continuing it under pressure, more that he was doing it because he is ****ed in the head(And idolises Jigsaw).

Guess we'll find out in VI, will be ****en pissed off if we don't and it continues to drag!

I did a search function and amazingly there were no Saw threads

I saw the fifth film tonight. Good viewing I thought Although it's been at least a year and a half since I saw (pun!) Saw IV so things seemed a bit shaky at first because I'd forgotten some things but I worked it out fairly quick.

Apparently Saw VI (due for release in October) is going to be the last of the series so I wonder what it'll be like.

But anyway this thread is for Saw V so discuss

Well I just searched Saw and Saw V again and again got the "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." message so it looks like the search function is being weird.

Can a mod please merge my post to the original thread.

That's because you can't search words that are 3 or less letters.

Unless you use the advanced search and do exact matches in title names, the search function is a steaming pile of crap.
