Forget Scully, Trengrove, Butcher, Lucas and Moribito.
Freo doesnt tank but West Coast, Mel and Rich will which means we finish 13th.

Assuming two of them will get PP that means pick 6 for us. So who should we go for?

Richmond, West Coast and Melbourne all play at least one of the bottom four in the next few rounds. The good thing from a Freo perspective is that there are matches like Richmond V Melbourne and West Coast V Richmond. The 4 points are going to have to go to someone!

West Coast will probably get a PP unfortunately. They have a tough run home and will find a way to lose to North and Richmond. Melbourne also have a good chance of a PP, especially if they continue the almighty tank started this week. We will probably end up with pick 5, which gives us one of Lucas, Morabito or Trengove.

of the last 5 games i see the demons game as the only real possibility of winning. richmond vs west toast will be interesting either way the team that wins that game will finish above us

I hope we at least get a top 5 pick

Stevens, Duncan or maybe Panos or Griffiths.

Rohan seems to be the junior with the fast rising reputation. (Similar to Hill).

Yeah, and there is Gysberts and Martin as well. All of these guys will be around the marks of 3 to 10.

For what it is worth, I reckon (for all that people talk it down) there will be both some requirement and state bias that comes into it and we would still be in line for the same names as we would get with the earlier pick.

Apparently Trengove is separating himself as the number 2 selection with a BOG performance in the SANFL.

I can see the Tigers grabbing Butcher over Morabito/Lucas. It will matter whether West Coast finish above us or below. They are likely to pick both West Aussies.

do any of our Melbourne posters have today's Herald Sun? Apparantly there is an article which states that both WA clubs would take Morabito over Scully. Can anyone confirm?

"It has become increasingly likely each of the two WA clubs would chose local wingman Anthony Morabito over onballer Scully if they recieved the prized first pick.
The Dockers & Eagles wont finalise draft plans until after the season, but remain hanted by the recent loss of Victorian recruits Judd and Warnock"

From todays HS.

WCE still have home games against Essendon, Kangaroos and Richmond.

Surely they can win one of them.

Without Cox and Kerr all look very ' loseable ' for them ... Essendon are playing for finals and Kangaroos and Richmond have more senior teams and are now out of 2ndR PP contention.

We're looking at pick 1 (wooden spoon and Mel and WCE don't receive 1stR PP), pick 2 (wooden spoon and only Mel get 1stR PP), 3 (wooden spoon and both WCE and Mel get 1stR PP OR 2nd last and only Mel get 1stR PP) or pick 4 (2nd last and both WCE and Mel get 1stR PP).

egirls have been tanking since rnd 12 last year there is no way they will win another game unless Richmond out tanks them when the 2 play each other.

i dont think so!! suban >>>>>warnock

That's hilarious! Who could give a feck about Warnock when we have Clarke and Suban.
Warnock showed more than Clarke in his games so far and even though we got Suban, its still a big loss.

I still cannot see us winning another game unfortunately. After the way both teams performed yesterday, I wouldnt be suprised if Melbourne beat us and the tigers beat the eags.

Meaning that from our crappy % (which will only get worse after next weekend) will see us getting the wooden spoon. It is not what I want at all but I cant see it now...

I wouldn't have thought we'd be haunted by the loss of Warnock specifically, but i'd imagine we'd be more wary about picking up a Victorian given the greater likelihood of wanting to piss off. That was the point, and IMO it's valid.

Too early to tell. I like what I see from Clarke atm, however it is obvious that he's got a long way to go. Mind you, I didn't like the early signs of young Sandilands, and we all know how he is now.
