Luckily I had Mitch Robinson on the bench to replace Beams.

Having 4 Richmond players tonight might hurt. I had 6 on ground tonight, averaging 83 points.

Edit: via SuperCoach scores, I averaged ~91 points (545). Not too bad considering 4/6 were Richmond players.

I should buy players I hate from opposition clubs.
Last year every player I bought got injured.
To top it off, I had Didak and Heath Shaw.
I am already killing it this year - LOL
I bought Cousins who has copped a hammy and I also have Raines who has done something to his knee from what I understood.
I should have loaded my teams with all Carlton players, hoping that my track record holds up.

I think it was due to everyone trying to get on. I went quite nice, 315 points with Houlihan, Raines, Deledio and Fevola. Ugh Raines injured, god save me. First Jack Grimes and now Raines.

Undoubtedly. But you would hope that they would be ready for a flood of traffic two hours before the season opener when everyone is finalising their teams, captains and emergencies. It was shit in the extreme and I expect there'll be a story about it tomorrow (today).

I expected it to happen and I was careful in finalising my team the night before. It's a bit unfortunate since in past seasons they've had to deal with the same problems. So one can't be blamed for thinking they'd have fixed it by now.

The exact same thing happened the year before. Spewing the first games was on a thursday so most had not been named. Oh and will you guys hurry up and play sidebottom

I managed to get on long enough to do a few changes before hand. Or so I thought... the changes never saved and when I logged on at work this morning I still had the same team. Looks like I will now have to cough up a couple of early trades with Raines injured and Charman looking on the outer up in Brisbane.

It happened last year as well. Some teams got totally nuked and lost all their picks so it could be worse. I kind of planned for it. Managed to make a last minute change of Anthony in for Swift but everything else was sorted well before. I've also got Goddard but decided to take the Saints word on it . You're right though its still not good enough from the Sun.

Have only had one scorer so far - Thursfield, a pathetic 17 - should have had him on the emergency bench - Presti will do better than that!!

All in all a good start though with Sam Jacobs showing some promise (even though he's and emergency this week) and more importantly, I didnt have Cousins or Raines in my side so I'm already one or two trades up on the field.

Dont have Heater either - I chose Lockyer instead!!! My risky picks in terms of injury are Goddard and Haselby, and to a lesser extent Hodge.

I had my teams all sorted, but you always need to fine tune once the lists come out, especially with your young emergencies, but that was not possible last night. Also wanted to switch Goddard after hammy rumour, hopefully he does play.

I had Raines which was disappointing, but then Liam Anthony out for 6 without playing a game!?! WTF!!!

On the brighter side, Ottens scored me a 175 tonight which makes me feel better. I wasn't sure whether to go for Petrie as #2 ruck, but now I'm glad I saved the money.
