Not happy with Hunt & Maguire?? I actually think they're both in for big weeks coming up myself (Hunt = Car & Rich... & Maguire = Melb)... I'd hold on for a week mate.

3rd option - dont do s**t. save your trades
hunt will keep going up in value and for $114,000 mcguire is great back up on your bench all year.
ballantyne to pods is the only one you should be considering.

Mostly because Harvey is about to sky rocket, An Hunt is potentially reaching his cash limit atm. But I still got a week to think about. Ballantyne>Pods could be a good one though, Save me quiet a bit of % for the judd trade later on.

Hey all,
yeah have been looking at the Ballantyne trade to PODS this week. Ballantyne has a break even of 95 I think?? However I am looking at something else.
My fwd line is pretty ordinary in Goodes, Brown, Didak along with Ballantyne, medhurst, Tippett & rockcliff....emergencies are Gumby and Hitchcock.
Do not need to trade however I was thinking that maybe Ballantyne has reached his peak. Was thinking Ballantyne for Pods to pocket $200K then I have Ladson and Hodge as MPP. May put Hodge back in defense and place Ladson in Midfield to upgrade him to Pav.
My defense and mids would be pretty good but my fwds would look average with Medhurst, Pods, Tippett, Rockcliff as starters.
My other rookies are going okay in Martin, Barlow, Nason, Maguire, Bastinac, Shuey so in a few rounds time I should be able to cash in upgrade the fwd line better.
Any thoughts?? Would it be too risky? Especially if Hitchcock gets dropped.

Not really concerned mate.
I'm an aggressive trader by nature and my strategy as was last year is to build my team up full of premiums as quickly as possible.
It worked for me last year and I finished 321 overall so I know what I'm doing. Will still leave a handful of trades for injuries.
After these trades both my rucks will be done, most of my midfield will be finished and I will only need say two upgrades in defense and two up forward and I'm done.
How many trades will that be all up JM?

I honestly don't think this year can be as bad as last year in terms of injuries, that was just a disaster of a year, a real sh1t storm.
I have great depth on all benches so will cover injuries if they are 4 weeks tops as thats what bench guys are for, as well as making cash.
You will have to jump on Judd and Cox next week if you want them before they sky rocket back up price wise. I'm not going to miss out on 2 quality players and be stuck with Hille and some other spud in the midfield for the rest of the season.
Time to strike like a Cobra snake.......

I am thinking Martin > Kane Lucas who is set for a big price rise. That would leave me with about 320k salary cap which I can then use next week to upgrade Gumby to someone around the 500k price range (Higgins, Didak, Harvey, Goodes...?)

Option 1: maintain discipline and hold onto trades
Option 2: ditch Rob Murphy for jPod, use cash to upgrade injured Schuey on the pine direct to C Judd
I know which one is more fun. Will give myself a few days to consider.

i had rockliff from the start. coming from a geelong perspective, rockliff has better job security. mooney and hawkins will never get dropped and pods is the 3rd tall. when strokes, varcoe, rooke, scarlett, etc. come back into the side somebody will have to make way. however, if pods keep up his recent form... i don't know how any coaching staff could justify dropping him.

On the first trade, what about Masten -> Lucas this week, then Martin/Bastinac -> Judd next week? Will make you a bit more money as Martin/Trengove keep increasing in price whereas Masten should just about breakeven, maybe even drop 10k. Also gives you another week to decide on who to trade out of Martin and Bastinac.

Which one of Bastinac and Martin are the better chance to play every week and score well. Whichever one I keep I want to stay as my bench mid all season.
Tippett down nearly $125k my pride is telling me to keep him but he is such a waste. Why did LeCras have to miss the early rounds!!!

It makes me sick to think that Cameron Hitchcock looks to have already matured as a Cash Cow. Knew I shouldn't have jumped off Rockliff when he wasn't named.

I have Tippet as well. I am going to hang onto him. Although he did not score that well I reckon he looked to have a little more get up and go this week especially in the ruck. No use trading him now at a loss. I bought him as a keeper so will have to see it through for now.
Anyone trading Hitchcock this week. I reckon he may get dropped. I already have Rockcliff as my 7th fwd with Gumby & hitchcock on bench.
Would it be a waste of a trade to trade him for Pods? Sideways i guess????
