I hope this so-called 'evidence' doesn't make a difference as it sounds like a crock of sh*t and she gets found guilty.
what and get the death penalty for a few kilo's of marijuana? you sound like one of the mob

I have quite a few family members and friends who work at various Australian airports. They are Pilots, trolly dollies,AFP,Customs and Quarantine. So a wide spectrum of people and experiences.

All say, its very very easy to belive that she is innocent. It is very very easy for a stranger in the correct uniform to gain access to all things airside.

Staff at Australian Airports are in Australian jails for the exact same things, ie drugs in strangers bags they put there.

The things that none are surpirsed at is the politicising of the matter. Its a huge cover up on Austrlalias part.

No liability, not to offend Indonesia.

Cover your butt guys, otherwise Australians will actually know what happens, and no one will want to fly from our airports.A huge blow to our economy.

Why can't we send a report stating, that on this particular day, that no violations in the customs hall and baggage areas we found, at both Sydney or Brisbane.

Why, because we don't want joe terrorist to know how easy it is to smuggle drugs etc through out ports of call.

We are a disgrace, this lady is going to die.

Why would anyone slip 4kg's of dope into a strangers bag so that someone else can pick it up at Sydney airport?

All that risk for waht?

Why not just drive it from Bris to Syd.?

bit suss :)

Thats always been my problem with it, scrub up and dress conservatively hire a new car, catch a train or a bus. No x ray, no dogs, no police, no feds, no camera's; maybe I'm not a criminal mastermind?

But at the same time last time I was in Bali, the price of dope being offered would not make the transaction worth it.

I've been to the former Soviet Union and it sounds very similar... judicial corruption, racism and tourists getting ripped off. When I was in Moscow I was told that if you are rich enough you can hit and kill someone while driving your car and get off without any convictions... just have to pay enough bribe money. The police there pull people over for bribes and if you don't pay they will say that there is something wrong with your car and confiscate it! My friend said that when he gets pulled over for speeding in Ukraine he has a note (money) in his passport... and the cop just says 'no problems, have a nice day!'.

I lived in Moscow for four years and it is as you say. Corruption is rife. A Russian friend of mine was studying medicine. She studied hard for one of her exams, an oral one. She went in to the panel. The head of the panel did the "Give me some money" thing with his fingers. My friend refused to pay the bribe and so failed the exam. She was allowed to do a makeup where she got fair treatment. But imagine how many doctors in Russia are practising medicine because they paid bribes to pass the exam.

Still love Russia though. Moscow is the greatest city on Earth.

Not entirely sure she is innocent, not entirely sure she is guilty, as there is reasonable doubt she should be found innocent.

Whoever put the drugs in the bag was a dumba.ss

My God, where do you live normally and is Moscow the only place you've visited? St Petersburg is nice, Moscow is...*shudder*.

No city in Russia would qualify as the greatest city on earth.

I dont know if its just me but there is something strange about that Schapelle Corby. Just the way she is portrayed on the cameras, i almost feel like she is putting on a act for some reason...

I dont know whats worse though Corby's lawyer or the Indonesian courts, cos there both pretty woeful. This new evidence from the Victorian prisoner is an absolute joke, and the stupidest piece of evidence i have ever seen. First off the guy is a rapist (hardly a credible witness there), there is motive for him to give evidence (make him seem like a nice guy infront of the parole board), he is using heresay and is accusing a person of committing a crime even though he was in jail at the time of the alleged incident. If there basing there case on this piece of evidence then she has absolutely no hope. Im sure that evidence did more harm then good for there case. Another key piece of evidence for them came from a criminoligist who basically said she doesnt fit the description of a drug dealer...what a piece of useless evidence that is, and the criminoligist was Australian ffs, it would of been much more relevant and important if it maybe came from an American but from an Australian it seems like a waste of time... The defence in this case seem more intent on proving Corbys good reputation then her innocence. If she wants any hope she has to get a better defense lawyer for her appeal desperately.

If the prosecution is any good, i guess he/she will tear that con's evidence to shreds then eh?

Had a chance conversation with a bloke last night who has a Balinese girlfriend and spends 3 months of the year there, he told me that Corby's sister lives on Bali and is apparently well known in drug circles there.

Good point, I don't believe for one minute that she was aware of the stuff being in her luggage.

its a hard one and she could be putting it over everyone with her "l'm innocent spiel" but the bottom line is she doesn't deserve to die, a couple of years in the nick should do

How stupid would you be to take over 4 f'in kilos of marijuana in a bloody boogie board bag?

It is a Joke that a terrorist gets 2 & a half years in Jail for masterminding the murder of 183 people in Bali and an Australian Citizen faces a death penalty for by a firing aquad for allegedely smuggling drugs into one of the world's most corrupt countries...

I mean do you guys really think that she could a fair trial in a place like Indonesia..!!?? If I had my way I would hire a hit squad and bring her home and stick it up those Indonesians...

Well it looks like she she will swing or catch a round of lead.

Some moron sent an envelope to the Indonesian Consul here in Perth with the warning that Consulate staff will die if Schapelle dies as well.

Nice one.

So what has that got to do with her in her jail cell in Indonesia.

Mind you the Indons have come out this morning and said tis damaged her case.It just shows how farscial this case is, except this poor lady will die.
