All he needs to do now is learn how to be accountable for his man when his team hasn't got the ball. Very, very loose in 2007! Against the Pies in Sydney this year he showed absolutely NO respect to a bloke that played his first game of AFL. Yep.......................Marty Clarke!
Clarke ran him ragged & was intrumental in the Pies winning that game when they had about 5 key players out.
I'll never forget the lack of defence by Schneids that night until he was moved off him.

Will be a better player under Rossy Lyon I hope for your sake!!
We will get Fisher & pick 25 I'd say!

Yea this is great news. I think if it were Fisher and pick#26 then the Swans would be doing a little to well off. Our third pick and Fish would be far more appropriate.

Don't think you'd get both it'd be one or the other or your 3rd round pick as well.

That would be a fair deal IMO.

P.S. Saintsational needs to get up soon, ridiculous that is down for half

i dont mind our round 2 pick.

did some analysis on shneiders stats and posted on saintsational, he goes missing in the big games a fair bit, can get 20 plus possessions against the weaker sides.

up and down form.

I'll be absolutely cut if we lose leigh fisher because IMO leigh fisher > schneider.

he is a good accountable one paced midfielder, he is a solid tackler, fair disposal, without being anything flash and has a career average disposal of about 12, and in 2007 averaged about 14 possessions a game, so he's not that flash consistently.

leigh fisher is more accountable, harder, and a better disposer of the ball.

round 2 pick for schneider = fair.

leigh fisher for schneider, sydney wins...

round 2 pick and leigh fisher for schneider = we got stooged BIG BIG time and ross needs to have good hard look at himself and stop doing sydney favours.

sorry mate but a straight swap aint fair, and a 2 rp in a week draft doesnt even come close to cutting the mustard.. a one paced consistent non flashy player, mate have you watched a swans game lately?
As far as L.Fisher & 2rp goes i reckon u get a good deal..
If u get him then well done, i hope he brings you much joy, its us that would have been stooged..

Schneider will not be a walk up start, he will have to prove himself and earn his spot.

The last thing we need is a BP/tagger. Our team is full of them; Mathews, Bevan, Crouch, McVeigh etc etc.
What the Swans need is run & carry players, so we ship one of our better ones to you, who presumably need a running HFF.
Swans supporters thought we'd done relatively well with the Mattner deal.
We have now willingly and pleading for it, been royally screwed, by a former midfield coach, who will get the very best out of Schneids.

No enmity to the Saints, it's all our own doing.
 
Why would Sydney put him up for trade? I don't get it ... I would have thought he'd be a required player.

I'm happy to take him, of course, but I'm amazed he's available.

Paul roos is not a stupid man.

by all accounts schneider doesn't want to leave sydney so why is he being shipped out for leigh fisher if leigh fisher is so much worse? its not like blight being used as a lodestone to draw players in 2000, sydney are shooting him off of sydney own back.

do an analysis of when schneider gets his top stats and when schneider goes missing with his poor games and you might get an idea why roosy is saying goodbye.

also the stories about bolton on the table are pretty obvious

bolton is a very very couragious player there is no doubt of that, but his disposal lacks consistency to the point of being average. he is 27 and has a reputation possibly beyond his talent.

will draw a mid to late round 1 draft pick.

IMO roos is a very canny trader.
