I think he got a Chance of being a Versatile Player who can play Back,Forward and in the Midfield but He is still Raw

He is a half back flanker. Could play perhaps some half forward flank.

Could be a potential replacement for Marty Clarke.

Reed I rate and he is worthy of a spot on our list. I think he could become a regular player with another year or 2. His development has been very fast, as has been the case with Lachlan Keefe (potential future ruckman).

Very Goldsack-ish and likely to have similar problems cementing a spot in the senior team long term. As has been mentioned he is very versatile so perhaps if he is yet to find a role he excels in. Was often used as a key defender. Much like Goldsack if he can bulk up and play KPD he will be very handy because he moves well for his height.

yeah good call although IMO Goldsack is in our best 22 and hopefully will be cemented from next year on. To be honest I've only really seen Reed play live once at Visy Park where we smashed Frankston (I think it was). Did some nice things to make me notice and then I worked out who he was. Not quite cherry ripe for me as yet but shows potential for sure. :thumbsu:

I dont think Scott Reed will get a senior game in 2010 and would be luckey to ever play and afl game he just turns the ball over too much and i cant see him really improving that much.

Wow! He just turned 19 and is with doomed with no improvement. I guess you better email Derek and the rest of the development team down at Collingwood and tell them to stop wasting their time.

Needs to bulk up and improve his kicking but there is enough to work with. Unlikely that he'll play senior footy next year. Unfortunately for him half back flanks a position we've got ample coverage for.

I think half-back or wing would be his go, he has all the athletic attributes but needs to add weight to his frame. Not likely for senior games in 2010, but has definite potential down the track.

I think his first full year was reasonable.

Needs to work on his skills, but given another year of development I can see him getting a gig in the future

Teamed up well with his brother Ben Reid this season. They seemed to work off each other a bit and looked for each other. Offered some drive out of defence as did Ben. Not without a chance.

Disposal is pretty shoddy, I'm not expecting to see him at the top anytime soon. Just going purely off this year I couldn't see him making it at all, but it is obviously way to early to be casting that stone.
As others have noted he is very raw so we'll have to wait and see I guess.

He is very Goldsack like as pointed out above.

He is a rangey type who has good pace and athleticism. He's also reasonably tall and I'd guess with out looking up the stats that he's about 190-192cm or so.

He puts his head over the ball and tackles very well. Needs to improve his kicking but his action looks quite good so i'm hoping for improvement through experience. It was a big jump from that crap footy he played in NSW (save for the TAC games etc) and he did very well considering.

I think he could become a very handy player albeit no superstar.

personally i expected him to be far more advanced than what he showed this season. he spent 3 (or 4?) years under the scholarship program. thats 3 years of access to collingwood's facilities during his school holidays, as well as advanced coaching and conditioning compared to all the other junior footballers. i know its early but i cant see him making it. its great to be optimistic and i am with the majority of our players but there are players on every list that dont make it
