CONFIDENTIAL
SEASON 2010 HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE THE "BEST SEASON EVER"

A controversial off-season is the perfect run in towards what could be the best ever season of the SFA. Season 2009 was a great season, but it was a roller coaster ride of activity. I seem to remember a 3-4 week epriod with very little activity at all. However I am of the belief that season 2010 will be the best season ever.
Personally, I credit club captains with their efforts in recruiting for what I suspect will be the most active season in SFA history. The SFA have a core group of regular posters, which is being added to at a tremendous rate. This year we have seen a greater emphasis on recruiting. This means that teams are no longer relying on big posters to get them through, the depth is amazing.
The Baghdad Bombers should be congratulated for kicking things off. Every club has always tried to recruit players, but the bombers were definately the first to get runs on the board. The Hawks pulled back some old faces and finally got a team thread. Even the Gumbies are recruiting. The Dragons have been the biggest improver this week. They are now a hub of activity, thanks largely to the injection of new players. The Demons have managed to pull themselves out of a rot and recruit posters who are re-building and re-branding the club.
Season 2010 is likely to be a shorter season. If this occurs, my tip is that it will be a hectic time in terms of activity. The ladder will be closer and the season a lot more exciting. This league is built on egos and controversy. So the high profilers sticking around is great for the league. This is looking to be the most active off-season already, and it is the perfect run-in for season 2010. The SFA has never looked better.
