I'll be putting the cue in the rack and no longer showing any passion whilst supporting our club to emulate our players. Hopefully i will only have to continue it for the rest of this season but who honestly knows. The players have forgotten what it is to play for a jumper instead they are living large with their seriously over payed salaries which only about 1 or 2 players actually deserve. It also seems Hardwick has lost the players which is an appalling sign for a coach only in his second year (must have something to do with his shit selection policy).

Anyways i wouldn't be suprised if we lost every game for the rest of the year given none of our players even look like giving more than about 5 percent. I'm also starting to think there are a number of high profiled players at our club that we should be looking at trading in the off-season because they don't seem interested in working to win games. Deledio being the clear leader in this bracket but also followed by many other senior players.

I will also say the exact reason i didn't want Houli at Richmond is because he is a liability down back but our coach unfortunately doesn't have a clue. Grigg is as soft as butter and Jackson is so slow i've forgotten why i ever stuck up for him. Riewoldt has just lost the plot because he got so used to not having to work hard when Miller was in the team (great idea that was).

FFS Richmond stop ****ing us loyal supporters around. We don't want recycled shit, we don't want old hacks, we want hard players who play for the jumper and give 110%. Stop doing stupid shit like bringing in Miller for structure when it is highly evident he did nothing but stunt the growth of Jayden Post who can play as a leading forward when given the chance. AND why Tuck a very very loyal player to the club can't get a game when he is in our 10 best players is ****ing bullshit. It is obvious Martin and others are struggling from a long hard season, wasn't tuck meant to provide cover. FFS FFS FFS FFS.

If Hardwick has lost the players then we are ****ed.

We're nothing more than average VFL side IMO

Let's get our head out of our arses and be realistic, most of those blokes in our 1's wouldn't get a run in a top side like collingwood. I think it's time to take the carltank approach by tanking now and getting best available in the draft and also really getting involved in trade week even if it means getting rid of big name or two. This list seriously needs reviewing at the end of the year or otherwise be prepared for many more years of pain.

pretty ludicrous.

i was watching the game with my kiwi flatmate tonight and he was asking me about the players. mostly about their ages.

"he's 19."
"he's 19, too."
"he's 20."
"he's 21."
"he's the oldest, i think he's 29."
"he might only be 18. first year. same as number 32 and number 31.

getting my drift?

it doesn't help that our senior players don't stand up, not at all. but you have to remember exactly how young our team is. First round we fielded a team younger than Gold Coast. We haven't reached a much higher median age throughout the rest of the season. I don't think we've stagnated, as the media would have us believe - and I don't have the stats - but I would imagine that our median loss average has come down and in that time we've won some games, against decent opposition, by playing the kind of football that we will hopefully be consistently playing in the near future. In fact aside from the last two weeks, this season has been a resounding tick.

I don't think we should trade Deledio, I don't think we should drop Riewoldt, I don't think we should sack Hardwick. I think we need to calm down a little.

You're right, but you'll have to excuse some because i think in the back of our minds we thought we were going to win then all of a sudden it all turns to poo, literally!

You band wagoners are hilarious. :thumbsu:

is it possible a player who the club has been building around has admitted they are going to GWS? or maybe even two? completely shattering the team that they can no longer perform without emotions getting in the way and not caring anymore!!!???

Nope. We are just not good enough. Lack of effort is just a way for supporters to hide from the fact that our overall talent is just not there. Somethimes that can look like lack of effort.

Players that would fit that category have all re-signed with us.

23 years is a pretty long bandwagon ********. I do have my period it is called being passionate about a club that constantly **** you over.

I feel like I'm dating a prostitute who keeps telling me she's given it up...

Hmmm, why do we have such young players? Could it be because we traded picks for now retired players 2001, 2002, and 2003? Could it be because we drafted so many duds in 2004, 2005, and 2006? We are young because the players who would now be experienced were too useless to keep. Being young is not a reason for us being crap, it is a consequence of us being crap. But you are bang-on when you say that "our senior players don't stand up". We are soft and devoid of leaders. This is the Richmond issue. This is the problem with the Tigers. It is a fundamental problem that we cannot develop / motivate players.

Imagine I inserted a picture of the chicken and the egg here.

Hardwick is cleaning us out. Correct, our young team is a consequence of list management and talent identification mistakes, but what has this to do with the current regime? I understand the frustration of watching year after year slip by, but if you bought into the media hype it's your own damn fault. We were never going to play finals this year. At this stage - though, I am open to changing my opinion - I'm viewing 5.5/8 of the quarters we've played in the last two weeks as an aberration. Optimism, maybe? But let's just get the finger off the button.

Nobody dishes Houli man, he's skills off the hb line is near class and polish only if he had some support. I have been angry with our play list department for not picking up Houli when we had the chance.

Agreed. Would have been nice of one of the other 17 blokes on the field to provide some form of option for him to kick it to late in the 3rd. Though 2 kick-ins of his early in the game were purely awful!

To answer OP, yes we were awful, everyone is frustrated. We are still a fair way off it. Still need a ruck, some key backs and midfield depth. We clearly don't have that ruckman or midfield depth on the list. key backs may be there may not?

I didn't buy into any hype; in fact, I think I've consistently stated that my belief that our list is nowhere near good enough. If I am annoyed about anything it is with this belief that a lot of people have that improvement will come with the passing of time, whereas there is precious little evidence of any improvement. The frightening thing is that we look to have picked up so many duds in 2009, and possibly a few more in 2010, as well, that there may be very little scope for improvement in the pipeline.

as far as I'm concerned you guys are the same as north, young team gonna take time, you will have some great wins and some very dissappointing losses, just frustrating when they can't get it together.
