I have to say I'm looking forward hugely to the Eagles/Crows game next week. Adelaide are a heck of a good side, but noone has beaten us at home yet. I'm curious what the injury situation for the Crows is going to be- anyone care to enlighten me?
For us, Gardiner and Wilson are about 50:50 to play, and Sierakowski probably a bit less than that.

Goodwin out for sure

Johnson Welsh Biglands and Burton are in doubt.

Beinke and Hewitt also unavailable along with Fitzgerald.

My bet will be Shir and Johnson in for Goodwin and Crowell

Welsh will be given another week.

West coast by 89 points.

i am really looking forward to seeing this game.

besides the fact that it will be between 2 teams desperate for a win to stay in touch it will be the first time i have ever seen mcleod play. i have missed the adelaide game every time that they have come to perth in the past.

Haha, is that a joke Jars?? Eagles by 89? Sadly I agree :p Well maybe not by that much, but the Coasters would be definitely favoured, coming off a week's rest too...I do believe the fact we lost last week will spur us on to a better performance, but I can't see us beating WC at Subi...

Johnson has a sore ankle, but should still play. I would bring in Johnson (if fit), Perrie & Nelson for Goodwin (inj), Crowell & Ladhams. Crows are a good chance for a win, but Eagles deserve to start favourites with their home record (but I don's reckon it will be a 89 point blowout Jars).

The eagles look odds on fav to win going on their record at home this year, but if by chance we manage to beat them it will set us up for the rest of the season,
I guess there will be a few questions answered on sunday about how we respond to a real pressure game,
crows by 7 points [ have faith jars }

Lots Of Whyalla People:)

Wow all these people from Whyalla:D I have been emailing and chatting to Paul for a bit but who are you Noddy?Let me know matey:D

Anyway now to the serious stuff Port Adelaide will win a premiership before the Crows:mad: You want to know why? Because they have recruited far better than us look at the players we have introduced over the last two seasons and how many have been a success?????? Massie, J Gallagher and Johncock and thats it, Schell is crap he couldnt take a mark if I threw the ball in the air in front of him, Nelson has struggled, Fitzy was always a risk with injury and once AGAIN has broken down he anit no good to us being a T.V star:mad: that idiot they got from West Adelaide Richardson was hopless we have simply targeted the wrong players and Port have got it right, this year the Crows have to recruit well and I say put a few big names on the table and get the players we need and not these half wit dead****s we keep recruiting to look great on T.V  Get Pavlich and Carey so someone can take a mark and kick a goal for us:D

SHIR DONT MAKE ME PUKE:mad:

He has been performing in the SANFL in a very bad team and therefore deserves his chacne

If he doesn't make it this year he will no doubt be delisted.

He was a reasobably early draft pick and we need him to lift

At the start of last year he showed some promising signs before being dropped and losing confidence.

Who are you defensive talls? Such has been our luck with the injuries we do have, all our tall attacking players are out injured.

Wilson - collarbone
Gardiner - hamstring
Gaspar - ankle
Sierrakowski - hamstring

That leaves:

Lynch - debuted against Carlton after being elevated from the rookie list after outstanding WAFL form. Kicked 2 goals on debut. Will he repeat his performance though?

Hunter - might not even play down forward. Usually plays down back but does drift forward. Not a key position player anyway (190cm).

Embley - Mr. Enigma. Can be outstanding in front of goals or can just play his normal game where he gets plenty of the ball up the ground but doesn't usually effect the scoreboard heavily.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mind you, I've heard from these boards that most of your goal kicking power comes from your midfield. In that case, both teams are similar in that regard. A lot of WC's goals have come from midfielders drifting forward:

Wirrpunda - 18 goals from 11 games
Williams - 14 goals from 11 games
Chambers - 13 goals from 11 games
Cousins - 12 goals from 12 games
Judd - 11 goals from 11 games

Those are the top 5, others like Fletcher, Kerr, Jones and Peter Matera pop in from time to time but don't average a goal a game. Would you be able to show me some of the goal kicking stats of your midfielders?

Big spread of goalkickers for us.

Mcleod 12
Bode 9
Ricciuto 15 (most as a forward though)
Burton 19 - (as above)
Doughouty - 9
Edwards - 8
Welsh - 26 - forward
Stevens 16 -forward

our problem will be that wiht no Goodwin or by the looks of it Johnson our midfield which is our strenght will be depleted

Can't see us winning this one.

Smart ruled out tonight with pneumonia. They are still hopefull of both Johnson & Goodwin playing, but I have my doubts as they are both on crutches. Time to see what some of our fringe players are capable of.

Training decimated tonight, Smarty ruled out, Goody and Sugar both highly doubtful, Stevo missed with a corked thigh, Roo has the flu....plus we trained haphazardly from all reports...strewth, this week's game is looking even tougher than before....Jars458 might just be on the money...
