the process this week was pretty transparant. play blokes that cant run or kick under pressure

nah its quite clear that they were going to back in the experienced brigade in a pressure cooker game

they played it safe

Agreed.

Next week we are up against a strong and quick midfield so changes need to be made. I don't think I'll be able to watch if we go in with the same side.

They decided to back the guys with the runs on the board, which with the benefit of hindsight was a poor decision.

You can take too much out of pre-season form though. Leading into round one last year our two inform players were Walker and Browne, who failed to fire a shot during season proper. I'm disappointed Warnie wasn't in the 22, but we would still have lost if Ibbo and Chilli Palmer had played today.

Matt Carr and McManus deserved the right to play and prove a point. Next week Matty Carr should not be playing and McManus should be.
