Selection dilemma Solved
Who gets dropped in a dominant side? Well it’s been so long for us Blues supporters that we have forgotten how to deal with this but here is the answer…
The answer is, you don't drop a player on poor performances because there were no poor performances. You drop a player if you have someone who can do what they did better.
For example, if you believe there is someone in the side who couldn't do that job as well (for example Russell) as someone who was not in the side (For example Walker/Grigg) then they are the player to be replaced.
So I would say (after Round 1) Grigg would do a better job than Russell and Walker would do a better job than Garlett. While it’s a tough decision to make, to me that is the right decision to make.
It's a matter of opinion.
Remember, we are Carlton and being competitive/good/making finals is not enough. Adequate = the best.
