geez i would love to smash Carlton. Just to stick it up Judd - the captain who jumped off our sinking ship in 2007, looking for more money and a team that was closer to finals glory.

I'm glad he left. We got JK and Masten. Plus it made us so shit we also got Naita, Darling, Gaff, Shuey and co. With Judd, but no Cousins and Kerr always injured, we would have fallen out of contention, but not far enough down the ladder to get the stars we needed to reload and be a force again.
I think we are 2 years away from really being a force though. Good time to be a supporter.

Great team performance by our boys yesterday.. got on top in the ruck, through the clearances and our small forwards were lively. have to say essendon didnt look up to finals intensity though. will be a different story against you boys i would suggest.
judd was pretty well held by hocking.. but they let murphy do as he liked and he cut them up accordingly.
patersons should suit our run and carry game style.. but with the home ground advantage on your side it should be a great contest.. best of luck guys!!

No (Priddis laid more tackles against the Pies than the whole Essendon side did yesterday).
Judd was servicable, Murphy was outstanding.

I thought both sides lacked the intensity shown in the other finals games.
Right from the get go it was one team or the other running it down to their end with virtually no pressure. Obviously Carlton won out in the midfield and so they ran it to their end more often.
Essendon knew they were gone by half time and Carlton did what they pleased after that.
It was the most disappointing final to watch out of all of them for a neutral, way behind the standards of the other games.
IMO.
If we replicate the pressure we applied to collingwood against carlton we'll win comfortably.

I'm quietly confident. Home ground advantage, and with our performance against Collingwood on Saturday, I think we should run out winners. A lot will depend on whether Coxy, Nic Nat, and Kerry are good to go. Was looking at the Carlton boards, and had to laugh at the "Wet Toast" insults. Can they not think of better names to call us than that hahahah?

funny you say that we watched the 06 GF again after the game on saturday cause we were so pumped after watching a pretty gutsy effort v the pies.
