Time to just move on, we havea double chance, can we beat the hawks or cats maybe not.

But we can get there and see what happens.

3 wins against the top sides but that includes the two teams we can face next week.

Few looked sore again.

After seeing players return im drawing a line through goodsey

Well today article says we are looking(rushing) to get Goodes back in the side did we not learn anything from last night we dont need another underdone player especially against a pacey Richmond side.

As good as Goodes is we all saw last year it took him 5-6 games to get into the groove of things.

Our forward line entries need to be sorted out, too many long bombs - however on the flipside sometimes we try to finesse when we actually need to go long.

When we play well we have the balance right, lately it is too out of whack. I actually think we need to take the gamble on Jetta for the rest of the finals series, he wasn't great last night (yet still wasn't in our bottom 3) but he showed with a few of his kicks that he really brings a skill set the team desperately needs. Precise well weighted kicks, far too many up and under kicks from everyone else lately (and a lot of them are better then that too).
I don't think we can gamble on LRT or Goodes we're carrying enough underdone guys. As I said last night, I can understand why they did but it becomes do or die now they have to make some hard calls and maybe the gambles need to be on guys like Lamb, Cunningham.

Morton should come in, he's a much better bottom 6 player then a few of the guys in the team right now (in their current form anyway). I still don't know why the guy hasn't been in our senior team more often (not including missing with injury), he's never really been given a decent go and I hope he's not retiring purely because he thinks he's not going to get any chances next year. Would have no hesitating keeping him on the list or even rookie listing him.

I have no idea who to drop for this one. We're definitely too top heavy for Hawthorn and Geelong so assuming we'll need to beat one of them to be any chance this year we need to plan ahead. One of White or Mumford has to go out IMO.

Jetta stays in IMO. And I don't give a flying f*^$# if Goodes only has one leg to stand on. No one can tell me he'd be a worse option than Bolton, Rohan or a few others last night.

Well it is too late to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Mids need to lift. It is as simple as that. Defensive pressure has to rise. Calmness in attack and ensuring possession retention must be key.

In short we need to play football.

It ain't that hard. Just need to do it.

Must look at taking fit cattle into the game. We cannot contemplate taking more underdones into the game surely. lamb must be wondering whose cat he killed to be honest.

I think there is too much to do and not enough time mate, just too many changes per week creates a unsettled lineup, i think our selection and management of the team has been atrocious.

Hanners was cooked by half time and couldn't keep close to Smith, Rohan looks the best part of someone who has missed 18 months, Jetta why? he didn't impress that much in the two's Lamb had something like 40 disposals and a few goals.

Its all been left to do for Kennedy, Jack.

This. A touch of the Nick Davis about his situation I suspect. Upset the wrong person or people so they have cut off their nose(s) to spite their face.

Been top heavy looks worse when the small forwards don't help out. Both McGlynn and so very sad to say Bolton were too slow to get to position to crumb or tackle, especially after the first term.

Removing the best tap ruckman from the game last night when we needed to stop the Hawks spread in the middle was a serious miscalculation. Mumford must stay.

I'd contest that David Hale was the best tap ruckman last night. Much like he was the best tap ruckman in last year's GF. Mumford doesn't get dropped but I thought one of the talls had to leave the game for Jetta and given Pyke has more value as a forward, Mumford was the logical choice after a much quieter night than last week.

I doubt many changes will take place. Goodes might get a go but I doubt after Longmire brought 4 back this week, he is going to make too many more changes for next Saturday.

I'm still skeptical that Goodes can possibly play though. I'd be pretty surprised really. If he was ready to play on a wing and really give us some run, different story. But otherwise, he'll be sitting in the forward line where we already have a very large bunch of guys. I'd prepare him for a potential PF.

Despite been subbed out Mumford still lead the hit out count for the match and that included's hale deputy getting subbed out. No doubt Mumford was down on his recent impact and Hale is always a good competitor but when you need to control the spread and your the slower team, you must turn to your number 1 ruck.

I think Rohan would have been the man to sub out last night, no impact and had been swung around to a few spots without touching it.

White could have gone back to pick up Hale/Bailey in their forward line and run off them as an offencive CHB on our way out.

Next week

In: Goodes* or Lamb Out: Rohan

Mumford sitting out was OK by me as we had to get smaller and quicker and we had Tippett to deputise for Pyke in the ruck (as such, making us smaller and quicker in the forward line). Didn't work, but I felt that was the correct decision to make. Mumford's second efforts just weren't getting it done yesterday.

I agree with Rohan being a legitimate option to sub out last night and to miss out next week though. I doubt Longmire will drop him unless he is sore after a month of senior football into his return. Longmire clearly loves what Rohan gives the side, perhaps the pressure and intensity of last night's moment was just a little too much for him. He wouldn't have been the only one there

just realised macca hurt his knee. I didn't watch the last 5 minutes. hope its nothing. if we lose him we cant win the flag.
