Hello and welcome all to the end of season summary of the match thread activity for each of the Sweet FA teams for this season.
The usual caveat applies here, where it's stated that this data is purely a measure of quantity...not quality. These numbers are however a good indicator of the health of the league, and may give us an indication of which clubs are in greater need of new posters going forward for the good of the league.
As a reference, here are the previous articles authored by WaynesWorld19, Ant Bear and myself:
    Season 31 Analysis
I'll start off with some comparative data between the teams, and some trends over the seasons. Then over the next few days I'll do a club-by-club analysis. Now let's dive straight into it.

    1637131252927.png

So first up we have the total match thread posts by each of the teams in the league. As has been the case for the last few seasons, the Bombers are clear leaders at the front of the pack with a massive 17,058 posts - the most by any team in the history of Sweet. Right after them - both also with over 10,000 posts are the Roys and Demons. Then we have the Royals, Dragons, Furies and Wonders grouped together in the eight thousand range, with the Bears a fraction back on 7,404. Then we have the four least prolific teams in the league: the Warriors, Phoenix, Swamprats and Gumbies in the five thousand range. You could probably split them into three tiers (high / medium / low), but ultimately these are all healthy numbers. In recent history (S27-28) teams have failed to reach 3,000 posts for the season, and most teams are comfortably double that now.

    1637132574880.png 1637132648221.png

What is generally considered a better indicator of the health of the league is the number of posters who are active in match threads each week - that is, making at least one post in their team's match thread. It is always curious to find relationships between total posts and the average weekly number of posters. The three most prolific clubs (Bombers, Demons, Roys) all still perform well in this category - the Demons especially so with 19.88 posters turning up per week - but the Furies drop fairly low in the average posters (14.00, 10th) relative to their total posts (6th), and the Warriors rise up (15.25, 7th) relative to their total posts (9th). This suggests that the Furies have great buy-in from their limited number of posters, whilst the Warriors are ticking along with minimal contributions from a number of theirs. The big red flag in this category are the Gumbies with a mere 12.38 posters per week - not terrible in isolation, but it certainly indicates an imbalance in the league relative to the stronger clubs.
As for the total number of posters to make an appearance this season, for the first time in three seasons we have a club with less than 20 posters appearing in match threads for the season - the Gumbies only managing to get 18. The other teams are comfortably over 20 posters, although the numbers can be inflated by trades and players retiring mid-season. The Bombers, Demons, Royals and Wonders were particularly impressive in this category.

    1637132679669.png

The table on the left shows what the average percentage contribution each side has had in Season 32 match threads. This is with all neutral posts disregarded. A percentage of 50 would indicate even discussion between them and their opponents, whilst a higher number would suggest that the team likes the sound of their own voice or are prone to a bit of insular discussion. A range of 45-55% would probably be considered acceptable, so this would indicate that the Bombers and Roys love to chat amongst themselves (this is consistent with last season), whilst the Gumbies, Phoenix and Warriors are struggling to keep up with the pace of the match threads.
Then we have the contentious "match thread wins" category that doesn't really mean too much and is a relic from earlier seasons. It does line up fairly well with the % of match thread table though. This season the Roys "won" the most match threads, with the only "loss" being against the Demons in Round 9. Whilst the Warriors, Gumbies and Phoenix had a much harder time of it - the Gumbies only out-posting their opponents twice all season: the Phoenix in Round 8 and the Swamprats in Round 10.
The table of the right shows what percentage of a team's match thread posts come from their Top 5 posters (by quantity). The higher the number, the more reliant they are on their five best to keep their numbers up. Of course this is proportional to their output, it would be much more surprising if a one of the more prolific teams was higher up this list - the Wonders at 71.32% suggests some big posting numbers from a small number of players. The Gumbies are the most reliant on their top five posters (which is widely known), whilst as usual the Demons have a much better spread of contribution across their list.

    1637132719352.png
These three green tables expand upon how well balanced a team's list is, and it is interesting to see the rankings change as the contribution criteria changes. A perfectly balanced list would see 20 posters each contributing 5% of their team's match thread posts, so I feel the middle table is the best one to work off - once you see a larger number of posters on the 10+% contributions there is an implied reliance on those posters. Compared to previous seasons these numbers are fairly even, suggesting that most clubs have similar number of posters contributing towards the bulk of their total posts. The Demons are always an interesting example in this category, as we can see here with a league-high 14 posters chipping in for 2+% of their posts, and a league-low 2 posters contributing over 10% - although the Wonders, Bombers and Roys are not too far behind them.

    1637133301012.png
I feel that these tables in blue give one of the best indicators of team activity though, and the posting threshold that one would put greater importance on would vary from person to person. There have indeed been requests for higher thresholds in the past, and I have included a 40+ post category for the first time. Personally I feel that 10 posts per week indicates good engagement in a match thread, but I can see reasons for 20+ being the better one. The Bombers performed well in both these metrics, as did the Roys, whilst the Gumbies were the worst in all categories.

    1637133377561.png

Back in the day the "weeks with >300 posts" table was considered the pass mark for match thread activity for each team. In fact, there even used to be a "weeks with >100 posts" table! Thankfully the SFA has evolved into a much stronger entity (no team dropped below 200 posts this season!), and the >600 post table is now considered the benchmark - whilst the >900 post entries are frowned upon. Last season there were 10 occasions when teams posted more than 900 times in a thread, whilst this season it rose up to 18. The Dragons, Bombers, Roys, Bears and Wonders never dipped below 300 match thread posts this season, whilst the Royals did it 15 after only achieving it twice last season. Interestingly the Bears were in the 300-600 post range on all but two occasions this season.

First up: the dreaded match thread activity by round graph. Every season it crashes like this as the season progresses, and every season the admin is blamed for plummeting interest in the league. So instead - let's compare it to last season in the next graph.

    1637154500719.png
So the speed of match thread activity decline is barely different to Seasons 30 or 31, which have been two of the most active seasons the Sweet FA has ever been. It is curious to notice how Season 29 bucked the trend though, with a very strong end to the season relative to the others. A particularly strong beez campaign, looming expansion and the Wonders and Demons up to some antics may have contributed towards this. It's worth investigating to see what could be done to arrest this late season slump we've been seeing regularly lately.
    1637154553596.png
This total match thread post x season graph is usually the one thing that gets isolated in this analysis, and no doubt NaturalDisaster will feel some relief that the dip in Season 31 has been corrected in Season 32. Perhaps it has something to do with the second half of the year being more active than the first? But in a world of pandemics and lockdowns I think we should acknowledge that we're still miles ahead of the doldrums of Season 27 and 28, and revel in how vibrant the match threads are right now.

    1637154568705.png
I also took the initiative to also create this average weekly posts per week graph to take into account the alternating 16 / 17 round seasons. For the record, seasons 26, 29 and 31 were 17 rounds, whilst the other three in this graph were 16 rounds. This favours the strong Season 30 and 32 even further.
    1637154699018.png
Now we're looking at the number of posters who rock up each week across the last few seasons. And this season is the new peak for the league! An average of 193.50 posters per week in match threads is a phenomenal number - averaging out at over 16 per team.
    1637298452344.png
And the change in the number of match thread posters per week across the season - compared to other seasons. The spike between Round 10 and 15 is what bumped the average above the previous seasons.

    1637154709665.png
But I think this graph here is the true representation of the evolution of league match thread health. The number of active match thread posters per week...with an active poster constituting someone who averages over five posts a week across the season. Season 32 had 166 active posters over the 16 rounds, which is only a slight drop from the record of 169 in Season 30, and quite comfortably the second best on record.
    1637154825593.png
Oh, and I forgot to include this borky little rankings table that uses some secret calculation that AB or Wayne concocted. It's probably the most useless aspect of this whole project, but for completion's sake here it is.

  • Baghdad Bombers
  • IN: Metalcrusher (Bears), Lady Godava (Furies), HaroLad (returned), Osc1 (rookie), Andronicus (rookie), CrowInFiji (rookie), CursingFijian (rookie), Dadda Dave (rookie).
OUT: Requiem (delisted), VSTone (delisted), Judd_Magic (delisted), HereComesJuddy (retired), SammaGilberto (retired), Ash24 (delisted), CALL ME SNAKE (retired), CrowInFiji (delisted), miggs (delisted).

    ROOKIES
The Bombers brought in five rookies into Baghdad this season, with varying levels of success. Andronicus (0.0 ppw) and Dadda Dave (0.1 ppw) never bought into the league, whilst CrowInFiji (47.5 ppw) burned brightly for two rounds before being handed a life sentence in Banhammer. Osc1 (4.8 ppw) made regular appearances across the season though, and CursingFijian (49.3 ppw) was a massive success and has a good chance to poll strongly in the EKA count.
    LOSSES
New skippers BLUEALLTHRU and Metalcrusher had a good cleanout of the deadwood over the offseason, and Requiem (S31 0.0 ppw), VSTone (S31 0.0 ppw), Judd_Magic (S31 0.0 ppw), HereComesJuddy (S31 0.0 ppw), SammaGilberto (S31 0.0 ppw), Ash24 (S31 0.1 ppw) were not a noticeable loss. CALL ME SNAKE (S31 3.9 ppw) retiring was their only significant exit, whilst miggs (1.8 ppw) and the aforementioned CrowInFiji left midseason.
    GAINS
The big one was Metalcrusher (S31 184 ppw) who made his well publicized return from the Bears. Joining him were The Greatest Ava (S31 40.5 ppw) from the Furies and the long awaited return of HaroLad.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
There were some moderate to big increases in output from the likes of BLUEALLTHRU (from 129 to 186 ppw), Kilroy (from 53.5 to 97.7 ppw), Tony Lynn 15 (from 43.2 to 70.4 ppw), RobR (from 132 to 145 ppw), Jabba73 (from 61.4 to 71.6 ppw), Bovo (from 24.6 to 39.5 ppw) and a return to activity from TheCoach16 (from 0.5 to 33.0 ppw).
It wasn't all positive though, with Metalcrusher spending six of the sixteen rounds in Banhammer (and also reducing output from 184 to 134 ppw), Antonio BlueVein (from 117 to 30.9 ppw) losing interest, and less activity from Pugsley (from 128 to 98.3 ppw) and MITS (from 17.0 to 6.7 ppw).
    TEAM TRENDS
Fairly good news across the board on this one. Overall posting output increased from 13,395 to 17,058 for the season (up 27%), average posters per week increased from 14.06 to 18.88 (up 34%). Total posters increased from 21 to 26 and average median posts increased from 742 to 959 (up 29%). Average match thread post share remained steady (59.83% to 59.66%). Importantly for the Bombers there was also a much better spread of posters across the squad: the reliance on their Top 5 Posters reduced from 71.94% to 62.02%, the number of Bombers with >2% of their posts increased from 11 to 12, and the number of Bombers with over 20 ppw increased from 9 to 13.
Once again they never dropped below 300 posts for the week, and they actually increased the number of 600+ post week from 14 to 15 and number of 900+ post weeks from 6 to 10.
Say what you want about the Bombers, but you cannot fault their squad engagement and match thread activity this season.

    Coney Island Warriors

  • IN: Mofra (returning), Snuffaluphagus (rookie), ChappyUK (Furies), Piggy Smalls (Furies), Moo (returning), BEEG (returning), BeinPurplenGreen (rookie), Dav (returning).
OUT: Test Tickle (Bears), Rad Roo (delisted), chelseacarlton (delisted), Kabanna (delisted), candiehappy (delisted), BigJoeD_ (delisted), Spanna_ (delisted), Dav (retired).

    ROOKIES
Just the two rookies for the Warriors this season following Tonga Bob's raid on the Fremantle board moderator panel. BeinPurplenGreen (1.6 ppw) showed interest for three weeks before completely disappearing, whilst Snuffaluphagus (1.3 ppw) made sporadic appearances up until Round 11.
    LOSSES
One season Warrior Test Tickle (S31 24.6 ppw) returned home to the Bears, whilst after a successful Season 31 the Warriors were able to clear out several of their inactive posters including Rad Roo (S31 0.3 ppw), chelseacarlton (S31 0.1 ppw), Kabanna (S31 0.2 ppw), candiehappy (S31 0.0 ppw), BigJoeD_ (S31 0.0 ppw) and Spanna_ (S31 1.1 ppw). The only midseason movement was The Notorious DAV's brief hiatus.
    GAINS
A raid of the Furies saw ChappyUK (S31 0.6 ppw) and Piggy Smalls (S31 2.8 ppw) join the Warriors, along with returning players Mofra, Moo and BEEG.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
The Notorious DAV (from 40.4 to 45.7 ppw) was one of the few key Warriors to increase their output this season, and he saw some good increased support from Volbeat (from 10.6 to 16.8 ppw), FootyGuy13 (from 11.7 to 13.6 ppw) and the returned BEEG (11.9 ppw).
However the vast majority of the Warriors list was well down on posting numbers. Senior players Tonga Bob (from 90.8 to 77.2 ppw), DockerDen5215 (from 108 to 71.1 ppw), NaturalDisaster (from 72.9 to 58.9 ppw), TheInjuryFactory (from 51.8 to 35.1 ppw) and The Half Back (from 26.8 to 10.4 ppw and not seen since Round 8) were not as engaged. More concerningly was the "mid-tier" players that were a big part of the Warrior revival in Season 31 no longer seemed interested: RelaxMax (from 29.2 to 0.0 ppw), Lord_Flashheart (from 29.2 to 2.1 ppw), Dinsdale (from 21.6 to 13.9 ppw), zackah (from 15.8 to 3.6 ppw), Freofalcon (from 11.9 to 3.0 ppw), TubbsFarquhar (from 11.2 to 1.6 ppw) and harry000 (from 5.5 to 0.0 ppw) all dropped away significantly.
    TEAM TRENDS
The highs of Season 31 were a distant memory, as total posts decreased by 39% (9,808 to 5,988), median posts by 33% (from 492 to 331), and average posters per week by 11% (from 17.18 to 15.25). Total posters fell slightly from 24 to 23. There was a massive fall-away in match thread share from 54.12% to 44.17% and an increased reliance from their Top 5 Posters (from 63.08% to 74.67%). The number of players with >2% of total posts fell from 13 to 10 and those with >5% of posts from 7 to 5. The biggest indictment on the decline is their number of players with 10+ posts per week fell from a league high of 15 in S31 to a tenth ranked 10 this season, whilst those with 20+ dropped from 10 to 5 (a league low).
Last season the Warriors posted 600+ times in a match thread 6 times, yet they failed to do it once in Season 31 (the only team not to do so). They also failed to reach 300 posts on three occasions, after doing so every round last season.
This was a massive reduction in output from the Warriors this season, and there are no doubt actions in play within their LG to try and right the ship during the looming offseason. By no means is their list output awful - there are teams out there with less activity and from less people - but the drop away from their magnificent Season 31 is quite clear.

    Mount Buller Demons
  • IN: ImissFrosty (rookie), Bluelegs (rookie), Pickitt (rookie), cats2rise (Roys), Hate (Phoenix), damicky (Furies).
OUT: brucetiki (delisted), boncer34 (Royals), Thetrader15 (delisted), amos (delisted), fancyscum (delisted), ImissFrosty (Furies).

    ROOKIES
There were three new rookies for the Demons this season, including the infamous midseason rookie swap. Given the lack of rookies in recent Demon history this was quite the big deal. In good news for the Demons all three rookies were a success for them: Bluelegs (12.9 ppw) was there most weeks, and Pickitt (130 ppw) managed to integrate himself across the league like a virus. ImissFrosty (74.7 ppw) was also highly active for the Demons until he was traded with damicky (115 ppw) during the midseason trade period.
    LOSSES
Inactive players brucetiki (S31 0.4 ppw), Thetrader15 (S31 0.6 ppw), amos (S31 0.0 ppw) and fancyscum (S31 0.0 ppw) were delisted in the offseason, and boncer34 (S31 0.6 ppw) moved to the Royals. As mentioned earlier ImissFrosty was traded to the Furies midseason.
    GAINS
The Demons successfully nabbed Hate (S31 24.0 ppw) from the Hawks and cats2rise (S31 29.8 ppw) from the Gumbies. Hate (17.3 ppw) maintained similar posting numbers at his new club, but cats2rise (3.1 ppw) seemed to get lost in the noise.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
There were increases in posting from Callums_Guns (from 63.5 to 89.4 ppw), cooney (from 44.1 to 67.2 ppw), sausageroll (from 32.9 to 35.6 ppw), Tarkyn_24 (from 29.0 to 47.9 ppw) and sante (from 11.1 to 17.4 ppw) this season - but the incredible thing about the Demons numbers is that even though the overall numbers improved massively, many of their core and existing players reduced their output!

manangatang (from 49.9 to 37.3 ppw), Headless (from 36.8 to 11.2 ppw with a massive hiatus), DemonJim (38.0 to 22.3 ppw), pantskyle (from 33.6 to 18.2 ppw), Proper Gander (from 23.6 to 12.2 ppw), moginie (from 22.1 to 17.6 ppw), Yakker (from 22.1 to 8.3 ppw), Azarole (from 24.9 to 18.7 ppw), DERO (8.9 ppw to 4.9 ppw), jmoo wan (from 8.1 to 4.3 ppw) were all posting less this season. Importantly however, despite the lower numbers they still all showed up most weeks.
    TEAM TRENDS
The Demons once again had some fantastic team numbers this season. Overall posting output increased by a whopping 42% from 7,456 to 10,882, their sum of weekly median posts increased from 370 to 701, and they increased their average number of posters each week from 17.06 to a phenomenal 19.88...just short of that magical 20 number.

Total posters increased from 23 to 26. They slightly increased their match thread share from 53.82% to a almost concerningly high 55.76% and maintained their league low reliance on their Top 5 posters, although the Pickitt effect saw it increase from 51.65% to 58.69%. The number of their players contributing more than 2% of their total posts increased from 13 to a league high 14, but curiously there was a reduction of players with >5% of their output from 9 to 7. Once again they only had 2 players with over 10% of their posts - the lowest in the league. The number of Demons with over 5 posts a week increased from 15 to 18, and those with over 10 per week from 13 to a league leading 17 - but those with over 20 posts per week dropped from 12 to 9.

Last season the Demons failed to reach 300 match thread posts on four occasions, yet this season it only happened once (Round 16 vs. the Royals). They also increased the number of rounds from 600+ posts (from 4 to 10) and doubled their 900+ post weeks from 1 to 2.
So another successful season for the Demons. Their recruits were all prolific, and although several of the regulars reduced their posting numbers they still turned up in the match thread every week.

  • IN: Hatchy1992 (Swamprats), schmuttt (returning), DJ75 (rookie).
OUT: MC Bad Genius (Royals), gym4life (delisted), Dr Mantis Taboggan (delisted), fumbler (retired).

    ROOKIES
Just the one rookies in Season 32 for the Dragons, with DJ75 (9.5 ppw) getting involved in most match threads.

    LOSSES
Inactive players gym4life (S31 0.0 ppw) and Dr Mantis Taboggan (S31 0.0 ppw) were delisted, whilst inferior Twenty Questions host MC Bad Genius (S31 27.7 ppw) joined the Royals. fumbler (20.4 ppw) retired partway through the season.

    GAINS
Hatchy1992 (S31 16.4 ppw) returned from the Swamprats, and schmuttt returned to the league. Hatchy1992 (9.4 ppw) had an interrupted end to his season after a strong start, but schmuttt (0.2 ppw) was not seen after Round 1.

    PLAYERS TRENDS
A mixed bag for the Dragons this season, with increases from serial_thrilla (from 93.1 to 103 ppw), T2B_ (from 41.1 to 75.9 ppw), A Swallow (from 35.9 to 63.3 ppw), Pie 4 Life (from 9.1 to 26.4 ppw), Stoods (from 4.3 to 28.5 ppw), Knifey Spoony (from 9.0 to 18.3 ppw), Matt_352 (from 19.3 to 23.1 ppw), Mooresome (from 0.0 to 1.4 ppw), Blaze Storm (from 6.6 to 14.8 ppw) and VandoHawk (from 1.0 to 3.9 ppw)

However this was partially offset by declines from Strigoi (from 78.2 to 62.4 ppw), Bonz (from 69.0 to 65.4 ppw), BringBackTheAnchor (from 12.4 to 5.3 ppw), Ljp86 (from 10.0 to 4.6 ppw), Bradesmaen (from 11.5 to 9.6 ppw) and Ashman OG (from 9.2 to 2.8 ppw).

    TEAM TRENDS
A slight improvement across the board for the Dragons this season, at a similar level to the average growth across the entire league. A 12.6% increase in total posts from 7,753 to 8,730 posts, the sum of median weekly posts from 408 to 467, and an improvement in the average number of match thread posters from 16.00 to 16.81. The total number of posters from them increased from 20 to 23.

Their percentage share of match threads remained stable from 52.40% to 53.56% in the sweet spot. Their reliance on their Top 5 Posters decreased slightly from 69.55% to 67.88%, and the number of their players contributing over 5% of their total posts remained at 6...although the number contributing over 10% increased from 3 to a league high 5. The number of their players averaging over 5 and 10 posts per week remained the same at 15 and 11 respectively, but the number averaging over 20 increased from 6 to 9.

The Dragons once again posted over 300 posts in every match thread this season, but this time they increased the number of 600+ post weeks from 1 to 5. Unlike last season they also managed to tick over 900 posts once this time around (Round 3 vs. the Bombers).

So a fairly steady season for the Dragons for posting output, with a slight improvement across the board. The vast majority of posting increases was from their existing player base though, so fresh blood is likely needed soon.

OUT: PMBangers (Royals), Biggie (retired), Hate (Demons), PhenomenalV1 (retired), go you pups (delisted), jusjoshin (delisted), Golumless (Wonders).

    ROOKIES
Another club with only one rookie this season, thewizardmelon (20.9 ppw) was very much a success, and should attract a few EKA votes. His counting on the Discord is hit and miss.
    LOSSES
Some big names went out the door in the off-season for the newly branded Phoenix, with their most prolific poster PMBangers (S31 71.3 ppw) leaving for the Royals captaincy, and Biggie (S31 3.7 ppw) and Hate (S31 24.0 ppw) leaving due to the name change. PhenomenalV1 (S31 22.9 ppw) retiring meant they'd lost three of their top eight posters, whilst Chipmunk also cleared out inactive posters go you pups (S31 0.0 ppw) and jusjoshin (S31 0.0 ppw). Golumless (5.6 ppw) left mid-season as part of the three way trade.

SaintBilly (18.6 ppw) returned as his latest profile iteration, but was not sighted after Round 5. raskolnikov (6.3 ppw) and daddy_4_eyes (0.8 ppw) also returned without setting the world on fire, but the Phoenix had much more luck mid-season with MannumPower (47.6 ppw) joining them from the Swamprats, and akkaps (27.6 ppw) jumping across from the Wonders as a delisted free agent.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
With so many outs after Season 31 it was crucial that the core players at the Phoenix remained active and engaging in their match threads until replacements could be found. Skipper Chipmunk (from 45.6 to 44.0 ppw) was steady, as was former captain Agent93 (from 47.4 to 45.3 ppw). Importantly though por_please_ya (from 33.9 to 41.0 ppw), SM (from 36.8 to 43.7 ppw), Itsmyshow (from 8.4 to 19.4 ppw) and eth-dog (from 44.0 to 52.8 ppw) all increased their numbers to help fill the gap. Infamous designer Zoops (from 1.5 to 4.1 ppw) also had a slight boost to his numbers, but the most impressive return to activity was NinjaSwan (from 1.9 to 23.3 ppw).

A few players did drop away unfortunately, with TY24 (from 15.0 to 0.0 ppw) going inactive, and Red mist (from 3.4 to 0.1 ppw) seldom sighted. Drunkgoliath (from 4.6 to 2.1 ppw) also became less active each week.
    TEAM TRENDS
Despite these improvements the Phoenix were not quite able to cover their big players losses in a single season. Overall posting numbers fell by 10% from 6,576 to 5,948 in a season when most clubs saw gains, whilst the sum of their average median posts dropped from 357 to 330. Worryingly they also saw two less players in their match threads each week from 15.47 to 13.75, although getting akkaps and MannumPower certainly helped. They had 21 total posters for the season once more.
Their match thread contribution dropped from 48.33% to 42.99% which was the second lowest in the league. The reliance on their Top 5 posters decreased though from 63.87% to 60.98% as several players increased their output to offset the loss of the dominant PMBangers, and they increased the number of their posters contributing more than 5% of their total numbers from 8 to 9, and those with more than 10% from 4 to a league high 5. There was also an increase of posters averaging over 10 ppw, from 9 to 11, and those with 20+ ppw from 8 to 9.
The Phoenix failed to reach 300 match thread posts on 5 occasions, up on last season's 3 - whilst they halved their 600+ match thread post weeks from 2 to 1; only managing it in Round 2 vs. the Bears off the back of some massive SaintBilly numbers.

So the rebuild continues at the Phoenix, with their player losses mostly rectified, particularly after their mid-season player movements. More work needs to be done though, or else they'll get left behind. Squad balance is great, but they'll want to get a few more players in there to bump up that lowly 13.75 players per week figure.

    Fighting Furies
  • IN: U2tigers (returning), Lynchy04 (rookie), Tiger2709 (rookie), Brunswick Trap King (rookie), damicky (rookie), ImissFrosty (Demons).
OUT: Lady Godava (Bombers), Nuffers (delisted), Mrs haydo (delisted), This Is Anfield (delisted), Piggy Smalls (Warriors), ChappyUK (Warriors), damicky (Demons).

    ROOKIES
Season 32 saw a big intake of rookies for the Fighting Furies, with mixed success. Lynchy04 (0.0 ppw) never got started, Tiger2709 (0.3 ppw) was only sighted in three match threads all season, and Brunswick Trap King (0.6 ppw) was only seen twice. damicky (106 ppw) was huge for them though, before he was traded mid-season for ImissFrosty (90.8 ppw) in what many would consider a win-win trade - both players will be in the mix for a EKA placing this season.
    LOSSES
Piggy Smalls (S31 2.8 ppw) and ChappyUK (S31 0.6 ppw) were minor losses following a late off-season swooping by the Warriors, but The Greatest Ava (S31 8.4 ppw) returning to the Bombers hurt a bit more. Nuffers (0.0 ppw), Mrs haydo (2.1 ppw) and This is Anfield (0.0 ppw) were cleaned out in favour of active players.
    GAINS
U2tigers was the sole big signing for the Furies this season, and his 40.5 ppw more than made up for the departures.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
A mixed bag for the Furies' established players, with a few going each way. GREENESHOOTS (from 56.9 to 71.5 ppw) and Elton Johns Wig (from 46.4 to 79.6 ppw) led the charge, with able support from skipper Bastyy (from 18.6 to 27.3 ppw), Rioli8217 (from 30.6 to 59.3 ppw) and Tigerturbulance (from 35.9 to 52.9 ppw).
But then Mister M (from 70.2 to 56.7 ppw), Ned_Flanders (from 58.4 to 24.1 ppw) and crazywildhorse (from 22.0 to 18.1 ppw) dropped away, and TJASTA (from 57.7 to 2.1 ppw) stood firm by his little two post crusade (with one slip up!). Sterge (from 12.6 to 2.3 ppw) lost interest, whilst Carson Dial (from 6.5 to 0.3 ppw) and JackBero (from 1.4 to 0.3 ppw) went inactive.
    TEAM TRENDS
Considering that they only have ten players posting significant numbers each week, the Furies did quite well with their overall figures. Total match thread posts increased from 7,274 to 8,614 (up 18%), the sum of median weekly posts massively increased from 360 to 531, and the average number of Furies in their match threads increased from 13.24 to 14.00. The total number of posters increased from 22 to 23.

Despite this their match thread share strangely fell from 51.61% to 46.43% - the 34% share in their Round 13 thread with the Bombers slammed them. They were the second least reliant on their Top 15 posters though (a huge reduction from 67.68 to 59.44%), and they increased the number of players on their list with over 5% of their match thread posts (from 7 to a league high 9). There were less Furies with over 5 ppw, falling from 13 to 11, but the number with over 20 ppw increased from 8 to 10.
They had the same number of weeks with over 300 match thread posts (13), but increased their 600+ weeks from 2 to 5 - whilst they ticked over 900 posts once in Round 2 thread with the Bombers (1600!).

Raw numbers looks good for the Furies, but they have very little depth beyond their Top 10 posters (11th is Sterge on 2.3 ppw). TJASTA may return to action next season, but there would be concerns within about losing a couple of their power players to expansion. A couple of big name recruits could be just what the doctor ordered.

    Gold City Royals
  • IN: PMBangers (Hawks), MC Bad Genius (Dragons), boncer34 (Demons), krakouers85 (rookie), Dancing Potato (rookie), Fitzey (returned), Engimal v3 (rookie).
OUT: Gadzorks (delisted), Cesoir (delisted), Kapow!!! (delisted), The acurate one (delisted).

    ROOKIES
By their usual standards, an unusually large batch of rookies joined the Royals this season. Dancing Potato (2.2 ppw) and Engimal v3 (2.1 ppw) were very sporadic in their posting, but krakouers85 (86.8 ppw) was a massive get for them - leading their posting tally for the season and being a frontrunner for the EKA in a few weeks' time.
    LOSSES
New captain PMBangers had a big cleanout of their list in the off-season, throwing inactives Kapow!!! (0.0 ppw), Cesoir (0.0 ppw), Gadzorks (2.2 ppw) and The acurate one (0.1 ppw) to the curb.
    GAINS
Stealing PMBangers (S31 73.3 ppw) from the Hawks was a huge achievement for The Filth Wizard, as was luring MC Bad Genius (S31 27.7 ppw) from the Dragons. Fitzey made a return to the league, and boncer34 (S31 0.6 ppw) came over in search of reinvigoration. Most recruits justified their inclusion this season, with PMBangers increasing to 83.8 ppw, MC Bad Genius became a Royal thread mainstay with 55.4 ppw and Fitzey chipping in with 20.1 ppw. However boncer34 (2.3 ppw) went missing after Round 7.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
After the calamity of Season 31, the Royals were hoping for a return to activity this season, and for the most part that's what happened. Core posters Marlowe (from 18.4 to 63.3 ppw), The Filth Wizard (from 49.4 to 66.4 ppw), GreyCrow (from 23.1 to 49.4 ppw) and CakeEater (from 20.4 to 36.9 ppw) all had significant increases in output. spookism (from 15.1 to 30.3 ppw), nahnah (from 5.8 to 21.3 ppw) and Smartys Power (from 6.9 to 20.8 ppw) also returned to pre-Season 31 levels.
But there were a few Royals that dropped away: Noobz0r (from 0.8 to 0.0 ppw) went completely inactive, as did Easty (from 0.7 to 0.0 ppw). Meanwhile Blacky (from 3.5 to 1.9 ppw), brahj (from 2.1 to 0.6 ppw) and Ulahoopski (from 8.2 to 2.4 ppw) went another step closer to joining them. grumbleguts (from 13.1 to 6.0 ppw) was another to drop away this season.
    TEAM TRENDS
Overall though, the Royals are a team on the grow. From 3,230 to 8,988 total match thread posts sees a mammoth 278% increase in posting output, whilst the sum of weekly median posts increased from 150 to 479. The average number of Royals in match threads each week increased from 13.82 to 16.06, and 25 total posters is 4 more than last season.

Last season the Royals had a league low 35.54% match thread share, but they have bumped that up to an extremely respectable 53.93% this time. They also reduced their reliance on their Top 5 posters from 66.47% to 63.30%, and increased the number of posters with over 5% of the teams' activity from 7 to 8. The number of posters averaging over 5 ppw increased from 11 to 12, but the big increase was in the 20+ ppw range (from a league-low 7 to 11) and 40+ ppw range (from a league-low 3 to 6).

They also increased the number of match threads with 300+ Royals posts from a dismal 2 last season up to a near-perfect 15 (Round 15 vs. Bears did them in), and from 0 to 7 match threads with 600+ posts.

So a very good turnaround by the Royals as they aim to return to the highs of Season 30 (and pretend that Season 31 does not exist). There's a few veterans that appear to be on death's door, but with a fresh core of posters combined with the regulars, things are looking rather positive.

    Gumbies FFC
  • IN: Dory_77 (rookie), miggs (Bombers).
    OUT: okeydoke7 (retired), Taylor (delisted).

    ROOKIES
Just the one rookie this season for the Gumbies: Dory_77 (9.1 ppw), who as their ninth most active poster has slotted in nicely.
    LOSSES
The inactive pair of Taylor (S31 0.0 ppw) and okeydoke7 (S31 0.0 ppw) were kicked to the curb.
    GAINS
It was a bit of an unfortunately quiet trade period for the Gumbies, with no recruits in the off-season, and miggs (2.3 ppw) picked up mid-season following being delisted by the Bombers.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
Not the greatest news on the activity of the existing Gumbies posters, with several going inactive. Ned Ryerson (from 52.2 to 0.0 ppw), @wherearemy keys (from 3.8 to 0.0 ppw), @saintskildaman (from 0.8 to 0.0 ppw) and EagleOz (from 3.2 to 0.0 ppw) were not spotted at all this season, whilst NSWCROW (from 0.4 to 0.1 ppw), Spuddd (from 0.4 to 0.1 ppw), BlueE (from 2.6 to 0.4 ppw), Jivlain (from 4.2 to 1.6 ppw) and Grimesy87 (from 4.1 to 2.5 ppw) barely sighted.
That left ten Gumbies to contribute a whopping 97.8% of their total output. Despite this skipper Barrybran (from 77.7 to 53.5 ppw), omgfridge (from 73.6 to 59.8 ppw), Lingua Ignota (from 36.2 to 27.1 ppw), Brick Loosener (from 16.6 to 12.3 ppw), Rodney Dangerfield (from 18.6 to 11.7 ppw) and StFly (from 11.6 to 7.9 ppw) all reduced their posting numbers, with only Riviat (from 60.8 to 75.5 ppw) and GWS Goose (from 54.4 to 64.9 ppw) seeing an uptick.
    TEAM TRENDS
Not a whole lot of pretty viewing from the Gumbies unit this season, ranking last in several categories. Their total match thread posts reduced by 26% (from 7,365 to 5,470), the sum of their weekly median posts fell from 341 to 305, and the average number of Gumbies in match threads fell from 13.76 to 12.38 - the lowest number in the league since the Warriors in Season 30. They also only had 18 active posters for the season, a decline of 3 posters since Season 31.
Their match thread share fell from a solid 48.64% to a low 40.32%, whilst unsurprisingly their reliance on their Top 5 posters increased from 73.55% to a whopping 82.12%. They had a league-low 10 posters with over 2% share of their total posts, and a league-low 5 posters with over 5% share (down from 6). They remained stable with 10 posters averaging over 5 posts a week, and a decrease from 10 to 8 posters with over 10 ppw.
They only reached 300 posts on 9 occasions for the season (a league low, down from 13), and only ticked over 600 posts once (Round 2 vs. the Roys) - down from 3 times last season.
So not great viewing for the Gumbies, who comfortably have the weakest match thread posting squad depth. Luckily they're still over double the total posts from the doldrums of Seasons 27 and 28, so there is no risk of folding any time soon. They have a loyal core, and surely they are going to be on the front foot this off-season to bring 2 or 3 quality posters to their ranks. They're probably 5 active posters short of a solid mid-range team, so as usual for Barrybran there is plenty of work to do going forward.

    Las Vegas Bears
  • IN: JoshWoodenSpoon (returning), Test Tickle (Warriors), AngryRanga (Wonders), Electronic_Renaissance (rookie), terrybull (rookie), TheTick (rookie), Campaigner for good (rookie).
OUT: Bipolarbear (retired), Metalcrusher (Bombers), indoistriku (delisted), kazzfkh (delisted), Dupogi (delisted), hilly (retired).

    ROOKIES
After the disaster of the S31 Bears rookie crop (name generator, anyone?) it was important that the Bears get a win on the rookie lottery this season. terrybull (1.2 ppw) was seldom seen after Round 7, but midseason signings Campaigner for good (2.9 ppw) and TheTick (4.9 ppw) were there most weeks. But it was Electronic_Renaissance (61.2 ppw) who was the highly active rookie injection that they needed, and he was a large part of their recovery this season.
    LOSSES
Aforementioned S31 failed rookies Dupogi (S31 0.0 ppw), indoistriku (S31 0.1 ppw) and kazzfkh (S31 0.0 ppw) were sent packing, along with two retiring stalwarts in hilly (S31 0.0 ppw) and Bipolarbear (S31 0.0 ppw). But it was the exit of vice captain Metalcrusher (S31 83.4 ppw) that left a gaping hole in the Bears list.
    GAINS
The highly anticipated return of JoshWoodenSpoon was the headliner of the Bear gains this season, and a solid 27.9 ppw and 9th placed ranking for Bears output was a good return after a decent absence from the league - and with a few dips into Sweet media near the end of this season it bodes well for S33. Unfortunately the return of two other former Bears Test Tickle (2.7 ppw) and AngryRanga (0.8 ppw) did not work out so well as neither played out the season.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
There was plenty of consistency from the Bears this season, with quite a number of them maintaining output from S31. Skipper MWPP (from 59.0 to 56.7 ppw), big softie I Dont Care (from 52.9 to 53.4 ppw), Millky95 (from 34.3 to 41.0 ppw), Muddiemoose (from 31.5 to 30.9 ppw), Broken (from 29.2 to 31.4 ppw), Matera92 (from 11.8 to 12.6 ppw), Art Vandelay_ (from 4.1 to 3.7 ppw) and kane249 (from 1.5 to 2.5 ppw) all produced similar number of match thread posts.

It was only really Cap (from @40.2 to 92.8 ppw) and tony (from 21.4 to 32.4 ppw) that had significant boosts this season, along with the well received return from Tommycash (from 0.0 to 3.6 ppw).

The Bears run with a full squad though, and that means they have plenty of inactives hanging on at the bottom of their list. Joining that sad group this season were guero (from 27.4 to 0.0 ppw), Lemon Boi (from 0.8 to 0.0 ppw), Cuzz09 (from 1.3 to 0.0 ppw) and bl4ke (from 0.1 to 0.0 ppw), whilst the likes of Ok Boomer (from 0.1 to 0.1 ppw) and Fizzler (from 0.1 to 0.1 ppw continued with their tradition of one post per season.
    TEAM TRENDS
So despite the loss of Metalcrusher the Bears did manage to turn it around this season due to their recruits and a couple of existing players posting more. Total match thread posts increased by 8.4% (from 6,830 to 7,404), the sum of weekly median posts increased from 334 to 433 and most importantly they had a decent increase in average weekly posters from 12.59 (a league low) to 15.19 per week! Total active posters also increased from 20 to 23.

They moved closer to 50% match thread share (from 47.5% to 49.0%), and were slightly less reliant on their Top 5 posters (from 67.16 to 65.94%). Incredibly their match thread contributions across the squad remained identical to last season, with ten posters with over 2% of their posts, nine with over 5%, and four with over 10% of their posts across both seasons! They also had the same number of players with over 10 posts a week (ten) and 20 posts a week (nine).

They were much more consistent from week to week this season though: never failing to drop below 300 posts in a match thread after doing so six times in S31, whilst also bumping above 600 posts twice (Round 1 vs. Bombers and Round 10 vs. Roys).
So in summary a decent season from the Bears, who managed to off-set the loss of Metalcrusher and guero with the recruitment of Electronic_Renaissance and JoshWoodenSpoon, whilst also getting more out of Cap and tony and having few of their core posters drop away. They also had more consistency from posters week to week with less of their critical players visiting Banhammer or collecting rocks.

OUT: GCB85 (retired), cats2rise (Demons), I bleed Blue (delisted), WaywardSonSon (delisted), Wedgetailed Westerner (delisted).
    ROOKIES
A trio of rookies for the Roys this season, and although none are in EKA discussions, all would be considered a success for match thread activity. hotchilli (45.0 ppw) had his tyres pumped up by the Roys LG early on, and it seems justifiably so. Former Gatcrasher Cats_R_Cool_4_Ever (29.3 ppw) was very consistent, whilst midseason signing Lore (8.2 ppw) got a good taste of the Roys style.
    LOSSES
cats2rise (S31 10.5 ppw) was the only loss of note in the off-season, with GCB85 (S31 0.7 ppw), I bleed Blue (S31 0.1 ppw), WaywardSonSon (S31 1.2 ppw) and Wedgetailed Westerner (S31 0.0 ppw) not surviving the cull.
    GAINS
Beyond the three rookies, there was only one other new Roy this season: the returning Chezzalenko Reborn (1.6 ppw) who disappeared once more three weeks later.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
There were some big numbers thrown around by the Roys this season, led by the likes of Mobbs (from 78.6 to 150 ppw), Supersuns (from 94.9 to 122 ppw), Wosh (from 74.5 to 104 ppw), Zevon (from 7.8 to 50.7 ppw) and _Mike_ (from 2.4 to 50.4 ppw). Whilst skipper TedDougChris (from 73.0 to 74.0 ppw), Dingster (from 69.5 to 63.9 ppw), Aristotle Pickett (from 28.6 to 22.6 ppw), royboy2 (from 12.8 to 19.3 ppw), Fred winner Mooch (from 12.4 to 19.3 ppw) and Allikat (from 5.9 to 8.3 ppw) were a little more consistent.
A few did drop away though, with fitzroybowiedog (from 37.1 to 2.9 ppw), Runk (from 20.2 to 1.4 ppw), JackNah_8 (from 25.5 to 7.5 ppw) and Freo_4eva (from 3.9 to 0.6 ppw) the most notable.
Meanwhile A Bit High (from 0.0 to 0.0 ppw), Roylion (from 0.2 to 0.0 ppw) and FitzroyRamone (from 0.4 to 0.1 ppw) await the cannon this off-season.
    TEAM TRENDS
The Roys were a curious case this season, with the average number of weekly posters steady (from 17.41 to 17.50 per week) and total active posts down from 25 to 24, yet total match thread posts up a massive 30% (from 9,716 to 12,614) and the sum of median weekly posts up from 527 to 685.
Their match thread share increased from 55.93% to 57.70% (second highest in the league), they were only out-posted once this season (Round 9 vs. Demons) - a league high, and although their Top 5 poster reliance increased from 61.06% to 65.23%, it was still the sixth lowest. They also saw a slightly better distribution of posts across the squad, with the number of posters contributing over 10% of posts falling from five to three, with the number of posters with over 5% of total posts increasing from seven to eight.
They maintained having 15 players with over 5 posts per week and 12 players with over 10 posts per week on their list, but increased from nine to ten the number with over 20 per week. Their eight players with over 40 posts per week is the second highest in the league. Once again they clocked over 300 posts pre week every single round, but managed to increase their number of 600+ post weeks from 7 to 12, and even went over 900 posts three times in the first three rounds (compared to zero last season).
So yet another very active season for the Roys, who have a knack of getting high numbers of posters into their match threads every single season (over 16 per week since Season 27!). Their total posting numbers spiked in a big way this season off the back of some serious ramping up from their core posters, all whilst keeping a nicely balanced list.

OUT: Lukeparkerno1 (Wonders), Hatchy1992 (Dragons), FishingRick04 (retired), Nunez (retired), Wojcinski (retired), Gameova_ (delisted), Far Kern (delisted), MannumPower (Phoenix).
    ROOKIES
There was a noticeable changing of the guard at the Swamprats over the off-season, and a large cohort of rookies were brought in to fill the gap thanks to the labours of SarahSmiles. None of them were overly prolific, but they generally turned up most weeks. HirdsTheWord (2.4 ppw), darthmann (5.6 ppw), mike ross (5.4 ppw), RPCB (0.8 ppw), Ticky009 (4.1 ppw) are by no means household names in Sweet, but the Rats will be hoping they stick around next season and continue to develop. The only outright failure was late signing compact72 (0.0 ppw) who did not post at all.
    LOSSES
Some big names left the Swamprats since last season, and rumours suggest that more would have left if not for fear of dropping below the minimum squad size. LukeParkerno1 (S31 2.6 ppw) and Hatchy1992 (S31 16.4 ppw) left for the Wonders and Dragons respectively, whilst MannumPower (S31 44.2 ppw) joined the Phoenix as part of the mid-season three-way trade. Club legend Far Kern (0.0 ppw) and Gameova_ (S31 0.4 ppw) were delisted, whilst FishingRick04 (S31 3.9 ppw), Nunez (S31 4.9 ppw) and Wojcinski (S31 0.1 ppw) retired.
    GAINS
The Swamprats received Marklar_33 (5.4 ppw) as part of the mid-season three-way trade, and successfully lured the returning TheDarkDwarf (1.4 ppw) to the club, but it was the glorious return of the man now known as Near Kern (53.4 ppw) that would have set rat hearts aflutter.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
With so many exits it was crucial that the existing player base did not fade away. Captain philreich (from 64.9 to 75.8 ppw), Catsnlakers (from 40.9 to 56.5 ppw), jackster83 (from 41.3 to 44.3 ppw), GremioPower (from 35.8 to 43.4 ppw), SarahSmiles (from 19.1 to 41.7 ppw), GotTheGoodes (from 4.4 to 12.9 ppw) and ant555 (from 18.2 to 16.1 ppw) all did what was required of them.
Others headed in the wrong direction though. Power Raid (from 21.1 to 7.6 ppw), Ant Bear (from 16.9 to 0.7 ppw), Firestarter (from 12.1 to 6.5 ppw), powerrrrrrrrrrrr (from 10.4 to 2.0 ppw) and Sparkle (from 3.4 to 0.0 ppw) all dropped away, whilst edgie (0.0 ppw) remains inactive.
    TEAM TRENDS
So despite the chaos the Swamprats managed to limit the damage. Total match thread posts only dropped away by 6.5% from 6,177 to 5,774 (second lowest in the league), whilst the sum of weekly median posts actually rose from 321 to 348 per week. The average number of posters per week fell from 15.76 to 15.06 (9th highest), whilst the total number of active posters remained steady at 22.
Their match thread share fell from 50.34% to 48.03%, which with their relatively low posting numbers suggests regularly quiet match threads. Their reliance on their Top 5 posters increased noticeably though, from 62.51% to 72.53% (third highest) - and the number of Swamprats with over 2% of their total posts fell from twelve to ten, whilst worryingly the number of Swamprats with over 5% of their total posts fell from eight to a league-low five. The number of Rats with over 5 posts per week actually increased this season from 12 to 14, but the story flips when looking at players with 10+ posts per week, were it fell from 12 to 9 (second lowest).
The Swamprats failed to reach 300 posts in a match thread on seven occasions this season, which is tied with the Gumbies for lowest in the league - whilst they only surpassed 600 posts once: in their Round 1 thread vs. the Roys.
So the rebuild continues at the Swamprats. They managed to limit the damage from their off-season exits, but it seems fairly clear that they are now much more reliant on their Top 5 core posters to carry the load. They have quite a number of low output posters that turn up most weeks, but they are in desperate need to develop their middle tier. In a season where most clubs increased their match thread posting significantly, the Rats heading in the opposite direction is very stark. Near Kern's return could not have been more desperately needed.

    West Coast Wonders
  • IN: HawkPatrol (returning), Brenton Davy (rookie), Loonerty (returning), LukeParkerno1 (Swamprats), Soggy2112 (rookie), PVF (returning), Cactus_ (returning), Frothies McVeigh (returning), Golumless (Phoenix).
OUT: ArdentEagle (retired), Grand Uncle Horace (retired), AngryRanga (Bears), J_Chadwick (delisted), Crusty Undies (delisted), mezaire (delisted), Off Tap (delisted), Marklar_33 (Swamprats), akkaps (delisted).

    ROOKIES

Among all the chaos of the Wonders rebuild this season, there were surprisingly only two rookies brought in. Brenton Davy (149 ppw) certainly made a name for himself across the league with his pugnacious tendencies, and although forever in his shadow - Soggy2112 (37.6 ppw) was consistently one of the more active Wonders in match threads. A successful crop for Mozzie19 after the disappointment of the S31 batch.
    LOSSES
The cleanout continued this off-season, with the Wonders disposing of a few more inactives. Off Tap (S31 0.2 ppw) and mezaire (S31 0.2 ppw) were from the aforementioned failed S31 rookie group, whilst J_Chadwick (S31 0.0 ppw) and Crusty Undies (S31 6.6 ppw) had not been sighted for some time. There was however some concern about the retirement of former mainstays Grand Uncle Horace (S31 33.5 ppw) and ArdentEagle (S31 36.6 ppw), along with the departure of AngryRanga (S31 2.3 ppw) to the Bears. akkaps (0.0 ppw) then left mid-season as part of his club collection project, and Marklar_33 (2.4 ppw) exited as part of the three-way mid-season trade.
    GAINS
The big signing for the Wonders this season was former Hawk Loonerty, and his 22.8 ppw was a solid return. The returning HawkPatrol (0.6 ppw) was not seen after Round 2, but LukeParkerno1 (12.0 ppw) was there every week after coming from the Swamprats. Returning Wonders Frothies Mcveigh (5.7 ppw), Cactus_ (14.1 ppw) and PVF (11.6 ppw) appearing mid-season would have been a pleasant surprise for the Wonders LG, as would have the activity of Golumless (9.6 ppw) after being traded to the Wonders in the mid-season trade period.
    PLAYERS TRENDS
With eight new players posting every week there was not a massive need for the existing Wonders to increase their output from last season. Even so, skipper Mozzie19 (from 74.9 to 87.3 ppw), veteran ClarkeM (from 24.5 to 59.9 ppw), croweater 41 (from 16.2 to 45.0 ppw), Elmer_Judd (from 0.4 to 11.4 ppw), SSwans2011 (from 9.1 to 10.4 ppw) and haydo (from 13.5 to 15.9 ppw) all bumped up their numbers, whilst mike123 (from 19.6 to 16.3 ppw), jezzajay (from 9.3 to 8.4 ppw), JT_the_Man (from 7.9 to 4.6 ppw), Kangaroos4eva (from 3.3 to 2.8 ppw), dogs105 (from 19.1 to 12.2 ppw) and BallaratBulldog (from 7.4 to 3.6 ppw) were somewhat consistent.

With 20 players posting regularly in Wonders match threads there was not too much bad news for them. They do love a deep squad of 26-27 players though, so the "depth" made for some binary code-like viewing. craffles (from 4.2 to 0.3 ppw), SweetD (from 17.7 to 0.2 ppw), bomberlegend2007 (from 7.4 to 0.0 ppw), Sab22 (from 2.7 to 0.0 ppw) and BlueMaster1 (from 0.8 to 0.0 ppw) all went inactive this season and may be on the chopping block over the next two months.
    TEAM TRENDS
Great news across the board for the Wonders with their rebuilt squad. Most importantly their average number of posters increased from 15.71 to 18.75 per week (third highest in the league), and their total active posters remained steady at 25. Total match thread posts increased from 5,363 to 8,412 (a massive 57% increase!) and the sum of their median weekly posts DOUBLED from 223 to 447.

Their match thread share increased from 41.93% (second worst in S31) to a solid 51.01%, and after only out-posting their opponents twice last season, they managed it ten times this season. Their reliance on their Top 5 posters increased from 59.76% to 71.23%, but this is probably more indicative of them actually having some big number posters this season, as opposed to a spread of mediocrity.
Curiously they had a reduction in the number of posters with over 2% contribution (from 15 to 12) and over 5% contribution (from 7 to 5), but I believe this is due to Brenton Davy's large share (28.4%) of their posts skewing the numbers this season. The better indicator is that the number of Wonders with 5+ posts per week increased from 15 to 17, those with over 10 per week increased from 9 to 14 (second best in the league), and those with 20+ per week went up from 4 to 6.
Last season the Wonders posted more than 300 times in a match thread a horrendously low 5 times (second lowest in the league), and yet this season they managed to do so every single week! They also increased their number of 600+ post weeks from 2 to 6.
So a great season from the Wonders with plenty of squad engagement, increases in posting output, good rookies and a nice squad balance. Their challenge will be to try and maintain it going forward, whilst also being mindful of their squad depth beyond number 20 being completely inactive.
