Anyone want to predict the rest of our season

===============
GAMES TO COME
===============
SYDNEY SWANS
FREMANTLE
NORTH MELBOURNE
COLLINGWOOD
ADELAIDE
MELBOURNE
CARLTON
ST KILDA
PORT ADELAIDE
==========================

I see these games in the following categories.

WINNABLE

North Melbourne
Adelaide
Melbourne
Port Adelaide

NOT WITHOUT SOME CHANCE.

Sydney at home
Fremantle at home

UNLIKELY WITH A TOUCH OF REALITY CHECK.

St Kilda - Big Nick probably back and into it.

UNLIKELY BUT SHIT IF WE COULD WOULDNT IT BE A BIG TICK FOR DAMIEN

Carlton
Collingwood

Id be happy to drop the game against Port Adelaide or Adelaide if we could upset one of the scum. especially if it denied them a top four place.

I used the ladder predictor last night and had us with 6 wins, moving above West Coast and Adelaide.

We have a good run of home games until the end of the season.
As most of us knew at the start of the season, our overall competetiveness will improve throughout the second half of the season. Nice to see its come a few weeks early :D

If we could win just one, I hope it is Carlton. I think they have Geelong and St Kilda to finish off the season. It is possible that if we upset them in that game we could dump them out of the 8 and end their season.

Hard to judge at the moment. As we'll have to play better to win some of those games, than we have in the last two matches, but not by much and that improvement is within our grasp.

Freo, Collingwood and St Kilda should beat us. The rest we can win, depending on our improvement. So that could be 9 wins for the season. 5-6 wins is probably more realistic as we will have a dip at some point with the amount kids we're playing.

The boys have been playing some good football as of late, and, i wouldn't put any of those games past them.

I can see us putting up a good battle against Swans, North, Adelaide, Melbourne and Port Adelaide.

Nth, Adelaide, Melbourne and port we could win all of them. Swans though will be a big test. We could challenge Carlton or beat them.

Well put it this way, we are coming off 3 wins in the last 4 weeks with a loss to a top 2 side and we have the home advantage, And, we could have Nathan Foley back for a bit more spice in the midfield. I like our chances. :thumbsu:

Imagine if we had a good side with that run home. Lot of clubs would like our last games I am sure. I think Carlton is more winnable than North... Norf deserve some credit, they are playing good footy lately with a list nearly as young as ours.. difference being they have a few good older players still on the list.

For me(taking in current form of us and opponents):

Disappointed if we didn't win:
Sydney, Freo, Adelaide, Port. Really with their form this year(Apart from Freo but I think we play them well) we should really take it to them playing at home. Port obviously would be a step backwards if we couldn't beat them in Melbourne.
Melbourne - Depends where we both are when we play them. Like us with a young team recent form and confidence can make a big difference.

A decent chance:
Carlton - No Kreuzer and form is up and down, if we got them on a down day we could give it a shake.
North - Same as Carlton, can be up and down but looking fairly tough right now.

Unlikely:
Collingwood and Saints.... but you never know ;)

It all depends on a few factors such as
Momentum
Confidence
Fitness

They're all inter-related. But we may drop off towards the end of the year with the young team we have.

beating carlton and collingwood is something i want badly!

Im with you all the way on that one mate...

I want the win that causes them to lose a footing in the finals.

I think Collingwood will be too entrenched in the four for us to do damage but Carlton we can definately cause problems to.

I think we need a bit of a reality check boys & girls. I have been staggered (but stoked :thumbsu:)how far we have come so quickly. But with so many first year AFL players, I would be suprised if they didn't fall off the pace in the 2nd half of the year. I've got no doubt that a few of the boys will tire more easily given the constant pounding they are coping from bigger bodied opponents. Nason, Astbury even Martin & Griffo need to be carefully managed during the rest of the season. Vickery is another. Likewise we have had few injuries throughout the first half. hey are now starting to accumulate with Foley, Moore, McGuane, Hislop & Dea.

Port over here looks the most winnable but I wouldn't be suprised if we didn't win another this year. No I am not saying we will tank and yes I would love to win more games (especially Pies or Scum!)

Games to come
Sydney winnable -we will have Foley back , players fighting for spots.
Fremantle winnable as above
North Melbourne winnable as above
Collingwood Yes winnable due for a loss
Adelaide certain you all know why, rubbish
Melbourne winnable tough but we owe em

St Kilda winnable N. reiwoldt still finding fitness

WOW Richmond would be in the eight 4 weeks ago we had not won a game dare to dream.
Oh sorry I was dreaming oh shut up, you, we will play Geelong in the Grand Final and Scarlet, Corey, Mooney, Hawkins all out injured, Selwood, Bartel, Ablett AND Pods are all playing carrying injuries.
Newman Thursfield Moore
Connors McGuane Deledio
White Jackson Collins
Morton Astbury Nason
Griffiths Reiwoldt Edwards
Graham Tuck Cotchin
Martin Foley Vickery Taylor
We win 2010 by 1 point Oh ITS 215 AM I better get some sleep before I write something really stupid.

ok i'll put my votes in

Possible Win:
Melbourne
Adelaide
Port Power

Possible Won't Win:
Sydney
North Melbourne
St. Kilda
Fremantle
Carlton
Collingwood

but of course I hope we win more than that, I'm just trying to be realistic and keep a level head :)

I'm with you Cuz. The only two in the won't win category that i could see us get up are Sydney (if we can break their defensive patterns and nobble Goodes before the game - prick always flogs us, and Carlton. The blues wheels are wobbling ever so slightly.

At this point we're looking a lot better prospect to win more games, but it's a very iffy proposition. You've got to remember that every team we have beaten is in the middle of at least a five game losing streak, and we're not likely to catch too many teams in such a bad run of form on the run home. Port and Adelaide will probably have packed it in for the season by the time we play them again, and we'll have a pretty meaningless win (though if their coaches are desperately trying to keep their jobs they may come out guns blazing).

I'm really looking forward to our game against Sydney, as it will provide a very good measuring stick against a middle of the road team. If we can beat them or come very close, then the celebrations are definitely warranted.

i think 5 could be on the cards. mainly because i think clubs will put the que in the rack once top 8 becomes an unrealistic possibility. injury is another.

what annoys me is already yr 1 of a new coach a massive over haul with maybe another to follow and already for the impatient wins have become more important to them than building a genuine top 4 list.

Not trying to be pessimistic, but we have played 3 fairly average sides to get our wins so far. I'll reserve my judgement until after we play sydney (which I doubt we will win) - they are not a great team either by anyone's standards, but I can't see us beating Carlton which would be the best win of all.
