Watt may have speed, I'm not disputing that.

Speed in games is all that matters. Grand Final sprints are meaningless.

Not that i want Watt or anything but i think u will find he is one of the quickest blokes at the Roos, its just his decsion making can be very poor....

He isnt a hack....North fans used to bag him non-stop (including myself) but that was mainly because he was played at FB on the gorillas every week. Got completely carved up. This year he has played more as a sweeper and link man and has been fantastic. I would very much doubt that he would be let go, and that would only be because Laidley plans on blooding players like Riggio into the seniors in a similar role. Gibson is also probably competing for Watts role.
Watt is also very fast. I wouldnt be listening to anything otherwise. Definately his greatest strength considering his size. To me his biggest problems have been that he was prone to panicking too much and would fumble, put teammates under pressure or give away free kicks. He can be quite reactive at times which for a Full-back was not very good as he gave 5m headstarts constantly.

Im a believer in Watt now though. He has improved significantly in all areas.

The stupidity of people staggers me. Blue Dimension, WTF are you on? On what basis are you making the claim that Shannon Watt is slow?

To make this ludicrous assertion, it is evident that you must have never watched him play. Therefore, how can you consider yourself sufficiently informed to pass comment? If you don't know anything about a player, which in this circumstance is clearly the case, why bother saying anything at all?

Watt is quick. Very quick, in fact, for a bloke his size.

Having said that, I nearly choked on my breakfast this morning when I read that we were interested in him (which I agree, as was pointed out earlier in this thread, is the Hun merely selecting uncontracted players at random and is not actually an indication of real interest).

He's not a smart footballer, we can do better.

Shannon Grant is 27 in November.
Where do you all get these ideas from. The Blues are on a rebuilding plan with "young players"
