How hunny will that be ................... Carlton v Adelaide

Collins playing HFF for carlton on Tambling playing HBF for adelaide

I will be watching this game with interest.

To be honest he was pretty bad last week too. That being said, both games were enormous and the pressure would have been immense.

We play Adelaide at Etihad this week. If he doesn't get dropped then that might be a better stage for him to find his feet.

Interesting you say that. When I watch Collins the thing that strikes me most is that he seems to have absolutely no standout attributes. He's certainly not big, fast, tall, or strong. Had been dominating VFL with beautiful disposal though apparently. Hope he shows it if he survives the chop this week.
He's not super quick, you're right there, but does actually use the ball pretty well. Swann and Icke must have wanted him for some reason, after all, they're the worlds best recruiting team

Grigg wanted out. They were probably happy with whetever they could get in the end I guess.

They were offered pick 42 ! as compensation for grigg but knocked that back as did the bombers.

We ended up selecting Brad Helbig with that selection & so far looks like a real gem.

Happy with what they could get? They asked for Collins specifically after thinking pick 42 was no good.

I think they asked for collins and two other players as well.(not all three together, but a choice of)

Somewhere in the older posts on this board I'm pretty sure those players are named.

Yep, it's certainly been a successful process of dissecting the Rattencrap from Griggy by giving him the opportunity to be part of an emerging group of midfielders.

I was very sceptical when hearing about the Collins trade (along with many others), but wrapped so far because this deal has certainly worked in our favour!

His one standout attribute is that he has very good goal sense. In fact a few creative goals last year papered over some very bigs cracks in his game. He was poor in most games and for most of the season last year, apart from a few cameo performances where he managed a few goals out of nothing to make a poor game look good. I was surprised carlton were interested given that they already have a few similar types that are better than Collins.

Love the guy and his committment to football but he is 2 years off playing 4 quarters of footy. Great kid though but his effort last week will cost him his new team mates confidence.

THis.:thumbsu:
He would have felt like crawling into a hole last week. Big test of his mental character to see if he can come back. He would have lost the confidence of the club and his own confidence after that.

Another solid game from the Griggster, thought he was one of our best early in the game when we were trying to hang in there, just seems a perfect fit into our side.

Carton management really blew it with Grigg. Word is discontent was about and not just about Grigg.

Sometimes egos get ahead of empowering players like Grigg to show their stuff.

Grigg played it right and is looking good to reach his goals moving forward. Tigers and Grigg winners in this!!:thumbsu::thumbsu:
