I need a new pair of shoes for work.

Does anyone have any pairs which they can recommend which fulfil the following criteria?

*Comfort
*Stylish
*Price Range (between $100-150)
*Suit black slacks (ie: no brown shoes)

Thank you for your time and I appreciate hearing a response.

Regards

I have some inexpensive yet comfy and good lookin Windsor Smith black work shoes - low maintenence, buckle.. They're good :thumbsu:

I'm with Lance, i bought a few pairs from the Windsor Smith outlet in Northcote for around $50-$60 very comfortable
And allthough i'm not an "Uber Metro Style Master" i believe they are stylish enough and there are plenty in that price range

Thank you gents (or the three wise men as I may now refer you by)

I shall definitely look into purchasing some windsor smith's when my shoes are no longer respectable.

Thanks.

I know this may seem like it's coming from left field, but if you go to Drummond Golf, there is a brand of golf shoes that have soft rubber soles, no spikes and are all black that a mate of mine (who is a 5 handicapper by the way) wears all the time. He actually wears Foot Joy saddles for golf, but these black ones are very nice.

Don't waste your money on Windsor Smith. I used to import them, and believe me, they aren't any different to the $20 pair you get at Speeds.

Try looking around in obscure shoe stores for end of season specials. You should be able to get a quality made shoe for around that price.

But seriously, what wrong with old fashioned Doc's (shoes, not boots)?

I'm pretty sure they fall on the wrong side of my price range, could be mistaken however.

I've noted Swifty's input too.

The thing is, with shoes is that I'll probably wear the same ones to work every day for a prolonged period of time, I'm a simple man and believe that only one pair of work shoes are required.

So I'm hoping to get a nice pair as my current ones have seen better days.

That's exacly what I get them for. Wear them everyday.

Over the past 5 years of work I've been through numerous shoes, usually lasting only a few months.

Another good option to look at is Rockport casual leather black shoes. Look like black work shoes, feel like runners, and for around $180 you'll have a nice plain pair of work shoes that last you a couple of years.

Excuse me for taking advantage of this thread........Where can you buy large sized women's shoes in Melbourne?

It's hard to get them anywhere. I wear size 9 to 10 depending on the make, it gives me the shytes, that I find a style of shoe or boot I like, only to be told that they don't have any in my size, hey people, not everyone wears size 6.

I'm a size 10 and haven't had any problems so far???? Try the Vic Markets and DFO in Cheltenham.

Windsor Smith's look pretty good and are very comfortable and at a fairly decent price.
I keep mine in good nick by using Armor-all on them to polish them up.

(Note) For Christ sake whatever you do, don't - not under the pain of death - let Armor-all get on the bottom of the shoes. Not a good idea, as I have found out in the past ;)
