Aside from the delirium that will ensue, should Collingwood's marketing for next year go from Side by Side, to Back to Back?

Would be pretty cool and arrogant in an awesome way.

Because we'd be going for 3 next year, opposed to where you're saying our marketing would be 'Back to Back', essentially just giving ourselves a pat on the back.

Should've been used this year if it was going to be used at all. No point using 'Back to Back' as a slogan if it's already been done, typically the marketing for memberships look towards the next year rather than whats already been done.

I'm all for looking forward, but not perhaps being that specific.

I still remember Bradshaw coining phrases for winning their 4th in a row after the '03 GF. So glad they didn't get that one!

If we use Side by Side and Back to Back it might confuse the players when lining up for the national anthem.

Its been a funny year this year as we really have just been waiting for these 2 weeks to come around. There hasn't been much doubt we would get here at least so the year so far has seemed a little bit of a formality. Previous years there has been more striving involved

Its means a flag is more than ever the only acceptable result. Anything else is a disaster

Back to back would be so sweet. It would also justify the rating we all have for the current list. They are a 2 flag list minimum and to get that at such an early stage of their window would mean an excellent chance of 3+ from this era. Its so important. A win here means we will probably end up seeing one of the greatest eras of Collingwood unfold and we may not see the same for a long time again.

I am just praying that we look back on the golden era in a few years time with more flags than any other team and an undeniable acceptance from even the most strident Carlton and Essendon supporter that we are alone at No 1

Side by Side says everything, it's relevant whether we are up or down and it's also everything to do with the supporters, which is who it is aimed at.

I'd keep it for the foreseeable future, if only to ensure we did not take on a "laughing stock" motto such as Cartoon have repeatedly done.

NO issue with having a Back to Back logo appear every now and then though such as this one posted previously this year.
