Spolier alert:

Another annoying thing is that you have to complete all the challenges once you've completed the main part of the game to move onto the next world.

I just beat the first 10 levels but can't progress because there's some challenges I'm stuck on (that make absolutely no sense either).

Why is there only one song in the game as well? I've had to turn it off after hearing it for an hour, catchy at first but so fricken annoying after the first ten times you hear it.

Disappointing some things don't do as you would like but that's to be expected.

One more thing that is shitting me is that when you go into draw mode (Where you draw the letters instead of clicking on the letters), the letters don't come up properly. I'll put in the letter E and it'll come up as an s, i'll put in a line straight down for the letter i and it'll appear as an l (you have to draw a line at the top and bottom if you want an i).

Kerrbs, I'm pretty sure you're meant to buy songs at the store with your "Ollars"

but remember that you have to use the Ollars to buy stages too (wasted 8000 ollars before I realised that =,=; )

yeah, the control system is pretty disappointing....

hence why I mention that it helps alot if you imagine that Maxwell is ******ed.....

lost count of the number of times I accidentally make him move and fug up an entire strategy.

its still a great game (puzzles are brilliant)......but definitely bumped down to a "try before you buy" rather than a "must have" :/

if you can get past the controls......it is a very challenging game

8/10 imo

hopefully they fix it up in the sequel

btw....... its only 10 megs in size >,>

me thinks an iphone version is a gimme.

Mines 30mb in size. Hmmm.

Midori, how did you get passed the tornado level?

10 megs of data.....32 meg cartridge

I did it really boring...... use glue to tie a rope to the second metal bit and swing myself until I could get over the tornado..... its abit hit and miss....

yeah, thats the thing bout scribblenauts....its about experimentation.... there are some big limitations in the world but once you work out how to go around it....its easier

eg: a fan can blow a whale etc, a ramp can stop bombs exploding (yeah pretty weird, guess its a bug)

other solutions I've heard of but haven't tried yet includes

1) using a shrink ray to shrink the tornado
2) using a storm shelter (don't know how that would work...haven't had time to test it
3) spawning a goat and riding over the tornado >,>;
4) spawning a lake and putting it in the tornado and simply swim across
5) gluing a rope to the starite and using a fan to blow it towards you till you can pull on the rope

Okay thanks.

Anyway, sorry if I'm ruining this for anyone.

This game was hyped up waayyy to much.

Some of the "missions" I had to do:
1) "Help the old man see"
2) "Find a drink, some fruit and a veggie and then pay for it as the supermarket"
3) "Wake the boy up and feed the girl breakfast".

Mind you, I'm only on near the start.

Midori, how far are you and does it get a lot harder? This is childs play. The way I'm going, could be finished in a day.

missed this bit of your post Kerrby....

actually you use the Ollars you earn to open up new worlds....

eg: if you get stuck on a stage.... you can use Ollars to open up the second world and keep on going.

the puzzle levels are pretty easy so if you get stuck.... use them to earn Ollars....

The Action levels are extremely challenging.....and you'll get stumped alot.

yeah, the puzzle levels are the "casual" section

while the action levels are the "hardcore" section

Yeah, it just presumed that you had to complete the second lot of levels because the main levels are just blanked out and look like they're locked.

I'll just focus on the action levels I think.... or just wait until this comes out and pick up my pre order.

I dunno about this
IGN said:
When this game works, it really works. A simple task of waking a sleeping boy, for instance, turns into a grand experiment, resulting in the discovery that placing a stereo near his bed, hosing him down with water, smashing his mirror with a bat and firing a gun near him will all wake him up.
I'm all for being able to have numerous ways to complete a level. But when a game isn't actually FORCING you to try every way it just seems to be tons of potential wasted IMO.

Also seems that there isn't a lot of imagination put into the objectives. Seems that a lot are set for a linear ending while they should be a bit more outrageous to fit with the theme of the game and being able to have a ton of different potential outcomes.

actually....... after you finish a level....

there is an advanced mode.....where you have to defeat a level three times in a row.....(as in no breaks inbetween or not you won't get the gold star)

using completely different words everytime.

it really forces you to experiment with different combinations.

but yeah, it is as fun as you want it to be....

if you want to use a rope and a glue everytime....

you're not going to have a good time....

it had durian :D

Complete disappointment for mine, I've thrown in the towel after about 2 and a half worlds.

I was giddy to begin with, but after the initial hype of having God fight the Devil and things of the sort, the game falls distinctly flat. You are virtually doing the same thing over and over just with a different object model.
Just doesn't have a lot of substance for mine, in wanting to have thousands of objects into the game they seemed to have forgotten to make the ones actually in the game decent to use and enjoyable.

Ends up coming across to me as more of a gimmick and play upon seeing some funny fantastical situations eventuate, but results in a very lacking game. Others will disagree, but I struggle to find it fun or enjoyable after the initial excitement of seeing 'x' object on the screen.

Needless to say the control system is shithouse. Overall it is pretty average, innovative and creative but I think it is very much aimed at the easily pleased casual gamer.
Professor Layton a much better upcoming release to grab IMO.
