The only way WC make up for this disgrace is by beating Collingwood and/or Adelaide away from home.

I already had those two away games factored in as losses, but today's result means that a win against at least one of those top 2 rivals, away from home, means that the 4 points lost today are made up.

WC can't completely get back what's lost, but they can limit the damage done by inflicting a similar loss upon a rival; therefore, in a way, gaining back what was lost.
