WTF is Houlihan doing there? This is surely not part of the 'developing the kids' strategy that we are meant to be doing?

Unbelievable that Houlihan comes into the side at the expense of Tuck who has done a lot wrong when he has had his minimum ground time.
Even more unbelievable that Houlihan gets promoted to the senior side after having only 8 possessions for Coburg. Ridiculous.

Bringing in Houlihan for Tuck is a nothing move. In fact, it is probably detrimental. Houlihan has no future with us so he will only be wasting space on Sunday.

Tuck on the other hand should be given every chance to develop as a player which means getting as much senior experience as possible this year.

Then again, given Spuds liking for putting players in the wrong positions and also our lack of talls, he would probably have ended up on Neitz, had 10 kicked on him and have his confidence completely shot!

On the surface dropping Tuck for Houlihan seems a little iniqitous, CJ. But I'm prepared to give the selectors the benefit of the doubt on this one.

If Houla is to have any currency come trade time, then he needs to have a bit of a foundation of senior footy in the previous 6 months. It's too easy to just use the "delist" option when discussing the futures of players such Houla ... we need to at least try and reap something for their loss, no matter how unlikely it may be that another club might offer up a trade (even for pick 50!).

Maybe Tuck was guilty of breaking team rules last Saturday arvo ... you never know. One of the worst messages that we could send an up and coming player is that he will get away with such transgressions, simply because he is younger than other players.

Also, we have recently displayed the tendency to reward solid performances in the VFL (Dragga, Jackson, Hartigan, Moore etc..). A little consistency, even with older players doesn't hurt. I can't stand the whole "Croft Scenario" at the Doggies ... if we don't reward performance, then we simply won't get player managers signing performance-based contracts in the future .. which could inevitably prove more detrimental than rotating younger players.

Or maybe Tuck just needs a bit of a rest after a solid first month of senior footy ?

i personally see no point in it, Tuck looked alrite when i saw him

also is there a chance that jackson will take neitz?

if not i guess he has to take holland who is just as big...well nearly as

I hope dutchie has a big game just to add insult to injury.
Let them see how pathetic they are before the final countdown at the end of the season.
