Spewing - O'Bree's injury didn't rule him out for the rest of the year.

Wellingham is stiff - was good on Saturday night

Port look like they're picking a side to win a football match. Should be interesting tomorrow night.

Same here actually Dave.

O'Bree was always going to come in if fit and Wellingham should go back for a week or two. I rate the boot but would like to see Toovey, McCarthey and Cook given a bit more of an opportunity to shine before finals time where the side can be tweaked if Wellingham can perform at VFL.

With Boak and Lade in - Does sound like they want to win.

Intresting to see the how the Westoff Boys Go

Would have liked to see Wood replace Bryan though as Bryan has been off his game.
Yeah but Port have to Big Body Rucks. They would be able to push Wood around a bit to Easy. Wood might come back for the Swans game

Would have preferred Shaz out Stanley in.

May still be injured although he has been listed as an emergency. Perhaps a chance for a late change. I agree if fit then he is stiff.

Good point Dave... I hadn't thought of that.

Anything to be read into Iles being named as an emergency? It's not an opportunity as such, but it's close!

Couldnt have put it better myself dtm.

Isles is version 2 of Ben Davies. I seem to remember Davies being named as emergency at this time last year too. Don't hold much hope for his future.

think cook should have gone before sharrod

On performance, I 100% agree. Sharrod extremely stiff.

However, we all know Sharrod will be promoted next year, Cook is a chance to be delisted. Better to give the kid a shot to retain his spot, and Wellingham needs a break anyway.

Probably the right call. As much as I want to see Stanley get a run this is an important game to win and we need some experience back in. 13 kids 21 and under last week was pretty ridiculous. Exciting but ridiculous.

I agree with Wellingham as the omission too. He was better last week but still looks a bit out of touch which is understandable given the season he has had. Cook looked alright to me and think he deserves the chance to play some consecutive games.

It makes sense, this is probably the one game where we can afford to have people who are trying to prove themselves. If it fails, I think we should still get over the line, we're a much better team and no inconsistency should prevent a win.

Motlop and Ebert are the dangers for mine. Brown will be able to take Westhoff. We always have problems with the small clever forwards. O'Brien gets one and Goldsack the other.

I think we could get away with Maxwell on Westhoff, Harry O to Motlop as he is the biggest danger and strongest athletically. Which leaves Goldsack with Ebert which I am really not happy with :S times like these you miss Heath Shaw. I would actually as much as I will get bagged for this start Toovey on Ebert, the sort of foward he would match up well on.
