As usual, a key player gets injured for us at the worst time possible. Luke McPharlin's injury has left me, like I'm sure everybody else shattered :(

So, with him out, it's down to A. Silvagni or A. Grover?

It's a really tough call. You know Grover is going to go out and just search and destroy with everything he's got but does he have the touch for top level footy after barely playing all year. Silvagni has proven form on big forwards, albeit not this year, and probably has played a bit more footy than Groves.
I think Silvagni will get the nod but I wouldn't be unhappy for Grover to get it.

How did both play in the WAFL today? On recent WAFL form, I would go with SCOS.

What about Peter Faulks?

Silvagni - sort of amazed the boundary rider from wa might have mentioned him to the other so called fox experts - but then i remembered it was dumb ass Jacko...

SNOS, in the form in past seasons, definitely. But on this season's? Tough. He really will have his work cut up for him. It's all about our midfield getting on top of theirs.

Silvagni is the kind of player that needs a few games in a row at the top level to really gain some of his best form back. Could go either way. Groves on the other hand is a 'what you see is what you get' scenario. Solid, reliable, won't rack it up but slots in without missing a beat.

Gut instinct says Grover.

It has to be Silvagni or Roberton. Was at the Claremont vs Subi game and unfortunately it is past him. Silvagni played quite well. Coaches really have to think this over.

Jack Anthony dropped into the EB Games store that I work at the other day. Don't think his priorities are with finals as much as they are with the new Transformers game.

I am not sure. Dawson is the perfect match up for the Pod, not sure how he will go on Hawkins though. Grover does play play pretty strong so it could be him.

Unconvinced that Silvagni is not a liability with the new structures. A big part of the gmae plan is reliant on players doing the team role - not just negating a player.

Going to be tough without Elvis.

Silvagni just has to be given his head now and trusted to play one on one against Hawkins all day, forget about trying to be a McPharlin replacement cause he is not going to be able to do that, just keep Hawkins quiet and we are on our way.

How could anyone entertain the notion of bringing poor old groves in.
Silvagni is the only option.
