One thing that's annoyed me has been listening to uninformed commentators carry on about how great Simpson's disposal is. You wanna know a secret? His kicking isn't that good. The reason one might THINK it's good is because Simpson IS exceptional at finding open space, or turning and arcing his way out of trouble to get a kick away. But his left peg is a pretty blunt instrument, and he is not a good set shot for goal. He can miss targets with the best of 'em.

I reckon there's just a possibility he could get a changed role or even be an ultimate casualty of a new coaching regime. He's a scrapper, brave, and a fantastic runner, etc. But there are flaws in Simmo's game - I just wonder if he's not struggling a bit in the new MM world.

Agree. Simmo has a lot of great qualities but his kicking isn't one of them - especially for goal.

As for the beard, its a pretty bad look and should go.

It's clearly the finest beard in all of the AFL, and given our current win/loss ratio it's the only thing we can hang our hats on. So, 'til we actually win a game, the beard is our only claim to fame.

Best OP I've seen for a long time. Simpson has been our worst performed player since round 1 of the NAB cup.

Miss-timed kicks, marks and spoils, sadly, seems to be his highlights reel so far, this season.

He was certainly up on effort from the last 2 weeks, but his disposal and decision making is still atrocious.
He just looks like a defeated man, completely sapped of confidence.

I really really really hope he gets back to his usual self. One of my favourites

Agreed, and he is my second favourite behind Kreuze. Hasn't earned his spot thus far though this season.
