Simmo is certainly going through a tough patch, we will see what he is made of over the coming weeks - either in the seniors or for the Northern Blues......IMHO I think he can turn it around.

Being out of touch is one thing, but Simmo has always been one of the few to consistently put his head over it and give everything despite his size.

To me it's a cop out, but maybe he really is struggling mentally since the Wellingham incident. Just isn't the same player.

How quick we turn on a bloke who's got more heart and guts than 95% of the playing group. Given his all to the club and has been a tireless performer for 6 or 7 years. How bout we give him more than 3 weeks before sinking the boots in?

I think we'd have a bit more patience if he lost the novelty beard

Obviously Simmo isn't playing bad cause he has a beard. But as the beard gets bigger and bigger, all it's doing is giving people a reason to talk about him & couple it with his bad form.

Simmo is my favourite. Has been since the beginning. However, to say he's been below average this year is an understatement. Whether he is struggling with Mick's game plan or just out of touch, I don't know. But God, the old Simmo who runs the ball up the ground, hits his targets and doesn't sell his teammate into trouble better come back QUICK.

I couldn't give 2 shits what he decides to grow on his face. His choice to grow a beard - I refuse to believe it's having an impact on his game. Why should he shave it just to appease "supporters" who turn on him after a down performance or three?

When your playing well you can do what you like.
When you're putting in shockers, better to look like you're being professional and putting in 100%, regardless.

Maybe he has always been good and we just never noticed it due to no standout beard???

Do they still let you run onto the field and listen to the coach's address at 1/4 and 3/4 time?

If so, I'd be very afraid for Kade lest Stamos and ODNBlue ambush him with pruning shears. :p
They most certainly do. It's quite enlightening. Also makes you feel very short.

That's only if you are in fact a midget.

Do you want a boost? ;)
I'm not a midget, however I could be taller. That being said, I felt decidedly midget-esque standing next to Knockers...

So yes, a boost would be great, thank you.

As supporters, we're quite entitled to express our views. Hell, everyone has had a view of Lucas, AJ and a few others over the past 12 months. Now it's Simmo's turn. He certainly does have some credits in the bank, but after the first 3 rounds of the year, these are quickly being used up. I think he either starts as sub this week, or goes back to the Northern Blues to get some touch and confience back. Because, right at the moment, he is being carried by 21 other blokes out there.

No idea what is going on with Simmo but have noticed that when he has the ball he does not know what to do with it. Not the only one in the team with that problem either. IMO I believe that they are struggling to do what Mick wants vs the way they know.
