As for Simple Plan, I don't mind them at all. I think they have catchy riffs and very good vocals - the songwriting is quite clever and important. The lead singer in their group can work a crowd so very well, and his ability to phrase the key words is a real highlight. Overall, they're not the best band ever, but they are at least 8/10.

I saw something on one of the pay TV "music" channels of them playing live, and just as i'd suspected, they sounded like another of the growing number of bands that sound like they owe alot to ProTools to make their recordings sound as tight and polished as they are, because they certainly werent like that in the live setting.

But while i find their music rather annoying and extremely generic, i can understand the appeal to the kids who have made them wealthy.

I dont hate that "addicted" song though. Catchy as all hell and rather well written for what it is, if not exactly being well performed.

Agreed,they are very average live indeed.

I do not understand why, playing 2 to 3 powerchords does not exactly promote difficulty.
