I don't see a lot of loving for ska or reggae related music around here, but they deserve a thread.
Also if anyone knows any good current day ska, reccomend here. (I could certainly do with some).

Here's a couple of good tracks.

One from the awesome Sublime

Nice choice.

Along with Madness, Bad Manners have some excellent albums from the early 80's. Loonee Tunes in particular is a great Bad Manners recording.

Anthology might be a good pickup for firstimers.

The Chinkees are a great ska band. While they're classfied as ska/punk it's 80% ska. Peace Through Music being their best album. Organ driven ska, check it out!

Slightly Stoopid are a reggae/ska/punk band who sound very similar to Sublime. Older stuff has more punk songs, newer stuff mostly reggae.

Pepper is a reggae/ska band from Hawaii. Pretty chill stuff, check out the album Kona Town. Good summer music.

Liberator were an awesome ska band from Sweden. Upbeat tradional ska, fantasic stuff. Two albums to get are This Is...Liberator & Worldwide Delivery.

Common Rider was a good reggae/ska/rock band with Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy fame on vocals. Last Wave Rockers is their best album IMO.

Nearly all the youtube vids so far are boderline punk/punk ska. Hardly Ska/Reggae.

There was a reggae thread around that I started that had some good stuff in it.
