In the meantime what Dragon Shouts are people finding most useful??

So far I'm mainly using Fire Breath for the breathe fire <3 and use the Intimidating Shout or Frost Breathe now and again.

Unlocked a few others which I just don't use though: Disarm, Whirlwind and Frost Bite ?(where you freeze a target).

I mostly use marked for death, unrelenting force, disarm.
I use all of them though, just depends on the situation.

Disarm is an underrated shout I reckon. I have it on level 2 atm. Really handy when someone is coming at you with a powerful weapon. Especially in mobs.

Unrelenting force level 3 is handy on the mountains ;)

Lol Seppo I turned on my speakers to listen to your video and Run To The Hills was playing in the background but I thought it was just part of the video...being on a hill and all.

...I found it funny.

Scary moment last night. Game froze so I restarting my system only for the system for the first time ever telling me it needs to reformat my files and that some files are ****ed. I looked at my save files afterwards and it looked ok but I haven't tried it yet in the game.

I will do that tonight. All I know though that if it has corrupted then I am done. 75 hrs I ain't doing that again.

from Bethesda Blog... (More info at the link about future updates too.)

Creation Kit — Beginning in January, PC players will be able to download for free the same development tools we used at Bethesda Game Studios to create Skyrim. In tandem with the Creation Kit’s release, we will roll out a new Wiki and videos to help you get started. It also features something we think you’re going to love…

Steam Workshop
– We’re excited to share news that we’ve been working closely with Valve to integrate Steam Workshop into the Creation Kit. Using the Workshop, you’ll have free user content with the push of a button. The Creation Kit will bundle your mod and upload it to the Workshop, where everyone can browse, rate, and flag mods for download. You’ll be able to do this from any web device, including your smartphone. Like a live Netflix queue, when you fire up Skyrim, mods you flagged will be automatically downloaded and installed. Everyone here is really excited about the opportunities and possibilities this opens up for our entire community.

Prefer to use existing modding sites? Not a problem. You’ll still be able to upload/share/access Skyrim mods on fan-created mod sites.

Mods are going to be awesome once the creation kit arrives.

I'm expecting more fully voiced quest lines similar to what we saw with Oblivion, F3 and New Vegas, as well as all the other goodies the community provides to tailor our game exactly how we want it.

Bethesda games are the absolute peak of modding, imo.

What a session.

Got turned into a werewolf and went on a rampage in White Run, tore out Carlotta something's (the hot one with the child) neck out, after transforming back to human came back to White Run to be given Carlotta's inheritance (only 85 gold).

Then in White Run, a dragon comes, had to kill that and now there's a dragon skeleton in the middle of White Run.

Fast Travel to Dustman Cairn, where another dragon appears and while fighting that dragon had to fight 2 cave bears as well. Btw, they all died (y) but sadly no dragon soul :(

would almost agree with this but after playing over 100 hours in offline mode with no probs, was advised to go into online and download latest patches/updates,and since then game is unplayable, mouse is at crazy sensitive, menus are only letting access to 1st page,no scrolling thru possible, all npc dialogue has been switched off, have tried to register to the forums site 3 times but no response emails ever received, pissedd off mucho

'cure disease' potion worked for me

First you need to know that everyday you dont feed you will go up a stage in your Vampirism.

Your at Stage 4, so people will attack on sight. Feeding lowers your stage.

He is well passed that point. First you have to feed on sleeping people or you will keep getting attacked. Go to any bar and ask if they had heard any rumours until you get the Vampire one. Then head to Morthal and talk to the town Mage. Then follow what he does just make sure you keep feeding or he will attack you.

finished a game but i just blew through the main quest at about level 40 to get it over with so i could start again. for the most part the lore of the game wasn't all that interesting until i got involved with uh, paarthunax. playing a nord wench this time, still getting used to a female shout.

some other things which are improvements on oblivion...
-water currents
-will come across the odd underground vista
-the whole dwemer thing which was in morrowind but not oblivion

alchemy feels a bit dumbed down compared to before. not sure what's going on either, but sometimes i'm still hidden and the enemy is right in front of me. as if going in and out of being discovered is a gradual thing and they're at you before the AI has gone through the motions.
