Worst 3 nights of my life. Not one sleepless night, not two, but three in a row. Driving me mental. Well I've had small insignificant amounts of sleep, maybe 8 hours in total the last 76hours. Anyone else had experiences like this?

I also love sleep. Which is why it's pissing me off so much because I ain't getting any. I'm going to the doctors and demand a prescription for bear tranquiliser or some shit, because one way or another I am getting sleep tonight.

Make sure that you don't have so much caffiene before you go to bed. ALso try eating earlier and staying warm. Crank the heater up so that it makes it hot in there and forces you to go to sleep.

I think I tried everything last night. Had juice with tea instead of Pepsi. I read for half an hour before I went to bed. After the first few hours of no sleep I walked around for a bit, still no sleep. Then I watched a little TV, that didn't help.

I feel your pain mate. Not being able to sleep sucks. For me, its usually associated with worry or having too many things racing through my mind at once. I know its not really the weather for it, but the thing that helps me the most is to get down to the local pool and swim as many laps as you can to exhaust your self. Its a good stress reliever and while your cutting through the water you can process some of the crap going through your mind. Also, duck to the bottom of the pool and just yell at the top of your lungs...no-one can hear it and its another great way of getting stress out of your body.
If you dont like/cant swim, running is another good one. Just run as far as you can until your physically exhausted...get a shower happening and eat a healthy meal for dinner and you'll be snoozing again in no time.
It all sounds good in theory but I still have nights where I pace around the house like a zombie. No sleep is awful, it really affects your ability to think rationally and cope with basic day to day problems. You might have to go to the doctor if it continues, but I've found sleeping tablets leave me groggy and slow the following morning so they are not for everyone. Good luck. :)

don't watch tv. It's bad news. The constant light sound and images stimulate the brain, whether your eyes are open or shut. It's the dumbest thing you can do.

No TV for at least an hour before sleep. Routine - go to bed and get up at the same time each and every night. Exercise an hour before you sleep. Drink tea or other warm bevarages.

These are the best natural ways to get to sleep.

Thanks for the all the suggestions, will try them tonight. Hopefully I just bomb out tonight though. But will go doctors just in case. I don't think I can go another night without sleep.

Got back from doctors. He said it's very unusual as I can't pin point a reason. He reckons I must be worrying about something without realising it. Or my body has forgotten to sleep. Got a small dose of sleeping pills, so hopefully I sleep like a baby tonight.

What time do you go to sleep?

Do some exercise before hand... like an hour or so before. Go for a run around the block.

I usually go to bed about midnight, as I don't start work till the afternoon so I can sleep in. And me do exercise? Baha. :p

I'm scared the pills won't work though. I seriously could not stand another sleepless night.

Just make Dribble sleep in another room.

Anyone but me wake up at the same time almost every single day. Without fail I wake up at either 7:40 or 7:50 every day. Went to bed at 4AM last night and still woke up at bloody 7:40 :thumbsd:
