Hi folks

I've an 8yo here that is very interested to see what this joint looks like. I've tried describing it her, but not very well, and living in Brisbane it's not like I can just pop her in the car and take her there for dinner.

I can't find any photos online, was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction, or if anyone might regularly drive past there and could snap a pic for us?

Thanks
Danni

My God they have Smorgys in places other than Geelong?

I live close to it and been there quite a few times but not recently.

If you're talking about the outside, yeh, a bit hard to explain. Surrounded by Fire-breathing stoneheads and mini-waterfalls, rainforests and stuff like that.

This is the only pic I can find:

Get her to go to the one in Geelong. :thumbsu: It is on the pier.

See if you can find one in Brisbane.

Smorgys is the one way ticket to spending the rest of the night on the toilet!

Danni, I hope your little girl isn't interesting in eating at this filth hole.

IMO, all you can eat bars are the biggest scam. I rarely finish my food when i eat out and I've never left a restaurant thinking "i need more food". These places probably don't use more food than other restaurants, they just use the fact that its "all you can eat" to make bad quality shyt food.

Sorry about this rant but gluttony repulses me.

I prefer them for the reason you can have a little bit of everything you feel like for the same price as you'd pay to get one thing of what you feel like.

Nah she's not interested in eating there. Friends took my son there when he was about the same age and we've been trying to describe to her what it looks like and how the 'volcano' erupts etc at night. It's hard for her to grasp because we have nothing like it up here.

I've eaten at a few different Smorgy's, the Geelong one on the pier is definately the best, Bundoora is absolutely atrocious.

I drive past there almost every weekend, but only during the day... I haven't eaten at a Smorgy's for probably 6 years, I'm now 19, and don't intend on ever eating at one again.

Own up, you go there just for the jelly and chocolate mousse right?

I used to absolutely love that place as a kid, until I discovered what good food tasted like.

Agreed, and our parents would have cringed every time we wanted to go there as kids, because they knew how terrible the food was, but yet, we loved it so much!

Just show her some videos of real volcanoes.
