Had a really shit experience yesterday.

Me and the fiancee were about to leave the house to go shopping. I opened the garage door and I noticed two small Pomeranian dogs in my drive way just sitting down staring at me. I looked around the street and I couldn't find any owners. I didn't want to let them go as my house is in front of a main road.

I took them in the back yard. One of the dogs was a male and the other was a female. I then noticed that both dogs walked funny. (The back legs were stuffed). I then had a closer look at the male to notice one of his eyes were missing. This was pretty disturbing. I gave them both some water and cat food (It's all I had) and they were eating like they had never eaten in their life before.

I called up the lost dogs home who said it would be around 3 hours or so before they could come around to pick them up. Both dogs were very cute and very well behaved. We also come to notice the female was pregnant or had just had some puppies. After a feed and a sniff around the back yard both dogs slept on one another. These two dogs were truly partners/soul mates. They slept for a good two hours. Once they woke up the male dog started pulled all the prickles out of his fur, with the female helping him out by taking out the ones on his back.

Finally the lost dogs home come to pick them up. It was an older lady who was very nice. When she seen the dogs she was in shock about their condition. She wasn't pleased at the state they were in and told me that if she can find the owners that they will be giving them a huge fine.

On assessment she said the two dogs had been used only for breeding and the female would have had A LOT of litters. She checked the females teeth to find that most of them had fallen out probably due to feed pups but not having nothing to eat for herself. Both dogs were pretty old. The male had lost and eye and both of them looked like they had been hit by a car. But even though these two dogs had endured all this bullshit they still arrived at my garage door together. *Trying not to get sad*

I asked the lady if the dogs would get put up for adaption as I did not want them to get put down but she said it was all dependent on a medical. She is going to give me a call to let me know if they don't find the owner. If they get put down I will get a call telling me what they found wrong with them and why they got put down. Fingers crossed they are ok, but I don't like their chances. Also, I'd like for them to stay together if they got the chance to be adopted. I'd like to adopt them myself but I wouldn't be able to get the dogs due to my own dogs coming to my house once my backyard is sorted out. So if anybody here is interested please let me know so we can save these dogs if possible. They are truly beautiful and friendly dogs. If they pass a medical the vet is going to fix them up, and they would be micro chipped and de-sexed plus vaccinated.

Anyways, that's the end of my rant. I just don't know how people can do this to animal. It makes my blood boil. Hopefully the people who did this get hit by the Karma bus and then hopefully it also reverses back over the pricks!

Sad story but well done on being a quality human being by doing the right thing. :thumbsu:

Some people would have just left them on the street and been on their way so well done on going out of your way and getting them to the correct authorities. :thumbsu:

Some people are sick.
I hope they do find the owners and then send Judd, Milney and Demetriou around there to teach them a lesson.

Judd to poke their eyes out, Milney for the 'over breeding' thing and Demetriou to withhold all the food from them.

They look pretty good despite the problems you described. Hopefully they are ok and are able to be adopted out. The do look like a great pair.

As for their "owners", I hope they are found and prosecuted. And never allowed to own a pet ever again. Take your sadistic shit and take it out on yourselves, morons.

These types of storys break my friggin heart. My two heelers are my best mates, and they give more to me than i could possibly give them.

Good onya JR for taking them in and giving them a feed, instead of just shooing them off.

Hopefully someone takes the poor mites in and gives them the love they deserve.

Hope they are ok, great job on taking them in and giving them some what and food. What some people do to animals is just sad.

Theres a girl that goes to a school in my area and she breeds kittens so she can 'put them to sleep'. She has put photos on facebook of her standing on one in high heels. It was the most disturbing and saddest thing I have ever seen. A bunch of us reported her to the RSPCA. Im not sure what the punishment ended up being but she and her parents copped a massive fine.

Animal cruelty is horrible. Not the best thought to go to bed with...

Althogh unfortunately there is not much we can do about it.

That's disgusting. She's clearly a risk to those around her, animal or human. Sad story in the OP too, I'm sure the dogs appreciated some care for a change :thumbsu:

Probably need to report her to an insane asylum while you're at it.

I didn't read this story after the missing eye part as I can imagine what it's about and animal cruelty just get's to me too much, but yeah its a fked up world and people who treat dogs like this should be shot.

I live in south america where you see some pretty horrifying sites re homeless dogs. The attitude here is like my gf, who I told that when I'm richer I'm going to use most of the money helping the organisations here (mostly foreign) that help homeless dogs, and she was like wtf? Why care about animals when there are so many people suffering?

- because people are evil bastards, and dog's usually want nothing more than to be loved and fed !!! There are some great youtube videos about people helping mistreated dogs, even if they have suffered years of abuse at the hands of humans if someone treats them well and feeds them within a short space of time they become happier and learn to trust again.

I had to put my dog down this week. Was a bloody mess.

My family keeps Norwegian Elkhounds, over the years we've taken another 2 that were abandoned by their owners, we love them dearly. Unfortunately over the years we've had to have 3 of them put to sleep (old age) and it is the same every time, we are emotional wrecks for quite a period.

Can't believe people do shit like this to animals.

Anyone who is cruel is beyond understanding, be it babies, children, partners, spouses, family members, animals. They are outside my range of comprehension

What's the news with them?

Some people don't deserve to have kids or pets. I hope those dogs go to a great home. I know of a dog rescue woman up here who has been known to "rescue" a dog from it's home when owners are out. She has a whole network of contacts in dog rescue and before you know it, woofers off to a good home wheter it be local or even Sydney.

My 2 woofers (Dalmations) came from a broken home and nearly ended up in doggie heaven but "Hell NO that ain't going to happen" as their other "mother" signed the death warrant as she was too slack to find a house to live in to keep them. So they are enjoying living at Barkingham Palace with me.

Sorry about your dog... I know your pain....

As to the OP...
animal cruelty is the lowest of the low

Cheers mate.

Seems to me that it's the same people who can do this stuff to animals, that do it to humans as well.

Wouldn't be too upset if harsher punishments were given out.

People who do shit like that to animals are c*nts, no doubt about it.

Well done for taking them in, I hope they find a happy home.

Thanks for the depressing story about the kittens further upthread :( that chick needs to be in a padded room, not out in the wide world.

Well done. You did the right thing.

Really sad story. Broke my heart. Haven't places like Pets Paradise been accused of getting their puppies from these breeding places before?
