Spent an hour or so just looking over your list and it looks like Dean Bailey and his buddies are doing a ripper job with their list building, a much better job than what is going on down at Punt Road. Really impressed.

Do you really rate Spencer highly or were you just struggling to find a decent ruckman on our list? (don't worry, we do too) He gets a decent tap every now and then but he's a liability around the ground.

I was thinking of a player to compare him and your right - Champman should name him mini me

apart from looking like a AFL player - I love his temprement & calmness under pressure. Also we had a few injuries and weve asked him to play out of position hes done that well - few players can be adaptable

Yeah I don't rate Spencer, but I even more so don't rate Jamar and Johnson .

That being said people in here have been speaking of this Gawn fella you've just drafted so there may not be a worry in that position after all.

Jamar would be a more than servicable second string ruckman. He's not bad at the taps and can go forward and kick goals. I remember him smashing Gardiner and King this year on his own.

I'm loving the way Dean Bailey is building our list. He said when he took over as coach that he would leave the list in better shape than when he inherited it. Despite some questionable tactics/tanking he is definitely true to his word.

I'll actually be kind of annoyed if we give Bails the flick after next year and a Garry Lyon type takes all the credit for the future success this current list will see!

Nobody ever floats the theory that McMahon was trying to tank on their behalf and only kicked the goal because he is so unbelievably shit.

Very true, that reaffirms what I've thought right the way through - he is exactly the coach we need, and I don't see any reason that would change at this point.
