Pheret said:Eventually, but not just yet. He has reportedly been tabled a large sum figure (higher than what you might imagine for a 2-gamer) and by all accounts is quite content at Brisbane. Wish him well there.
no idea but he should be in for aker atm.stopeedie said:I am not sure why this kid has such a reputation. He continually turns the ball over when he gets it, and despite his size is extremely timid.
Why on earth is Selwood not playing!

Yeah, but in the limited game time he's had he's also played in the back and forward lines. I think Lethal is moving all the rookies around the park and trying them in different positions, he's realistic in the fact that 2005 is snuffed as far as Brisbane is concerned and is prep'ing himself for 2006 by ensuring he knows the best positions for each of his players now before next years preseason.rgauci said:Am i right in thinking that Spaanderman rucks?

He should get at least another year, given the longer time it can take talls to develop.

I would be delighted if he has been offered a new deal with The Lions. Hopefully it’s on a three-year deal. Same as the Lions did with Brennan last year. Secure the potential champions on longer terms.
What most people fail to see is that Betty is still early in his development period. Talls like him take a lot longer to mature as footballers. The upside is massive. The supporters need to be patient with our tall brigade. I include Merrett in this category. It would be foolish of the club to put in two years of development and just pass him on to another club to get the benefit of the Lions' effort.

Just like the Kangaroo's so close but yet so farYAKUZA said:Doubt that he'll ever amount to anything!
Interesting comment, I'll wager the same thing was said about a lot of players. Voss, Buckley, Carey, Hird, etc for example. His extremely limited game time isn't anywhere near enough to show what he could develop into.YAKUZA said:Doubt that he'll ever amount to anything!
