Has anyone heard of the little sparrow that was too stubborn to fly south for the winter??
Sounds a lot like Danny Frawley to me. Here…let me explain!
There was once this little sparrow (and for the sake of the story, let us refer to him as Danny.) Anyway, there was once a little sparrow that refused to fly south for the winter. He watched all the other birds fly south, but not Danny, he was happy to stay put. Soon the winter days became colder and colder. Danny, who had refused to take action during the warmer months, began to think that perhaps it would have been wise to make a move when times were better and fly with the other birds. So, feeling very cold now, to a point where his wings had started producing icicles he decided to start flying. The icy wind on his face was almost unbearable; the cold wind was so cold that soon his wings began to freeze over and Danny started to loose control (Tigers). The hopeless little bird fell from the sky and came crashing down into a barnyard (Demons) Poor Danny, he thought this really was it! When all of a sudden a gigantic ‘BROWN’ cow came over and crapped all over him. So sad was Danny about this, he began to cry, the situation was absolutely hopeless! Here he was lying in a heap of ‘BROWN’ cow crap and crying his eyes out, when suddenly Danny felt as though he was warming up! The cow manure was warming him to a stage where he felt as if he could take on the world (Richmond def Collingwood). So happy was Danny he started to chirp wildly! His chirping was so loud that it attracted the attention of the new farm cat (St.Kilda). Danny chirped & chirped; singing the praise of his saviour, the ‘BROWN’ cow (2 goals) when all of a sudden the new farmhouse cat dug him up….. and ate him!!
The moral of this story is simple:
1. NOT EVERYONE WHO GETS YOU IN THE CRAP IS YOUR SAVIOUR!
2. NOT EVERYONE WHO GETS YOU OUT OF THE CRAP IS YOUR FRIEND!
3. IF YOU’RE WARM & HAPPY, AND IN A HEAP OF CRAP, IT’S BETTER TO KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!
