Not really. It's called caring about your club.Disappointing when it's our supporters pushing this agenda more than, or as much as, the media.

supporters want success. 50% probably don't care who the coach is. I just don't wont to see a mass walkout by the playersDisappointing when it's our supporters pushing this agenda more than, or as much as, the media.
No, Caring about your club means you don't want to see it ripped apart by having a coach sacked because some numpties aren't happy with our progress. Not really. It's called caring about your club.
There won't be a mass walkout by the players, You don't have any credible sources outside a couple of jounos fishing for a story and your best mate's dogwalker.supporters want success. 50% probably don't care who the coach is. I just don't wont to see a mass walkout by the players
GC Board is taking a big leaf out of the Angus Johnson playbook here at Brisbane. In essence Bluey is already dead in the water. With no big fish seemingly in the pool the question is why?No, Caring about your club means you don't want to see it ripped apart by having a coach sacked because some numpties aren't happy with our progress.

I'm not seeing any body language from Gaz that is betraying what is coming out of his mouth, He want's Bluey to stay, Bluey will stay.

Yeah unless we fully support Bluey we aren't real supporters right.Disappointing when it's our supporters pushing this agenda more than, or as much as, the media.

here's the Gaz interview

You've just seemingly contradicted yourself there. If we've taken a leaf out of the Angus Johnson playbook (God I hope not), yes, then who is this big fish? Voss was sacked because the Brions thought they had Roos. They ****ed up badly. Thankfully you're back on track with Leppa. There has been no real linking of any big name to the Suns.GC Board is taking a big leaf out of the Angus Johnson playbook here at Brisbane. In essence Bluey is already dead in the water. Roos was never coming to us, Johnson lived in a fantasy world where he stitched up the rest of the board into believing he had Roos signed subject to sacking Voss - he didn't and its more arse than class that we got out of it as well as we did.. I'm a long way away, I understand why Sanderson hot sacked but not this. For Bluey to survive now would be amazing given he appears to have been undermined by some. The review appears to be a stalling tactic so I can only guess that your heir apparent is still involved in the finals. You've just seemingly contradicted yourself there. The only thing this saga reminds me of is a feeding frenzy. Hammo throws some blood in the water with his original article and suddenly all the sharks start circling.
Someone mentioned earlier that this Bluey issue has been hanging around for a long time now. Really? I can't remember anyone calling for his head after we had beaten Collingwood back in Round 16. However after our dismal end to the season on the back of a bad injury toll, all these cracks start surfacing that have apparently been around for ages? I don't buy it. If anything it sounds more political, with an agenda pushed by a vocal minority. I don't know a hell of a lot about our board, but I hope they base whatever decisions they make on the facts and not self-interest, impatience, innuendo, or worse still the 20-1-3 vision which whilst ambitious and headline grabbing, was just plain impractical.
If they sack Bluey, then fair enough, it's their call but I'd also want to see what actions they plan to take to improve our results, the resilience of our team, our player facilities etc. Sacking the coach isn't going to be the panacea to all of our supposed "issues". If Gaz had not gone down and we had of had at least one fit decent ruckman for the last few rounds, I doubt we would even have this thread.

I don't believe it is a stalling tactic and I love a good conspiracy theory. I think it is a fair dinkum review to ascertain the causes for why we were so poor post Round 16, and what needs to be done to ensure it does not happen again next year. If it's found Bluey is the root cause of our failures and he is not the right man to take us forward then so be it. Since I signed up as a member for the Suns in 2011, being a Bears/Lions member for the 24 years prior, I've been very impressed with just about all aspects of our operations and development. It's been an exciting ride so far. The only things I've been critical of were our reluctance or inability to utilise our 16 uncontracted player concessions to pick up some more senior players and I think we could've drafted a couple of more hard nuts rather than the typical Clayton type picks. That said I trust Choppers, Blighty and Gaz to have enough influence to ensure the right decision is made. I'm a Bluey liker but if we can get a better credentialed coach who is more likely to take us to the top then I'm not against it. I'd just be disappointed for Bluey as he has not done a lot wrong and has not had the resources to work with like a Longmire or Clarkson, other than a very talented core of young players.Roos was never coming to us, Johnson lived in a fantasy world where he stitched up the rest of the board into believing he had Roos signed subject to sacking Voss - he didn't and its more arse than class that we got out of it as well as we did.. At the end of the day clubs will finish 1-18, expectations are perhaps unrealistic but given injuries I thought your finish was about right. If everything has been done spot on until now, why get the footy manager to conduct a review of his own department? I've explained this previously and in other threads. As a professional auditor, with 15 years experience in the field, it is highly common for department heads to oversee reviews of their own department. If they can conduct it according to basic auditing principles, ethically, professionally, unbiased and objectively, they are the best persons to carry it out, so long as they do not audit their own work/activities. The reason being that they have a huge advantage over an external auditor in that they will already know their company's policies, objectives, procedures, practices, culture, issues and personnel far more thoroughly than an external person, so they are already well ahead even before an audit/review commences. I've seen audits where an external auditor has only picked up on two non-conformances in a organization, whereas the accompanying internal auditor has found seven! To call it Irish or a farce is to call into question the professionalism of those conducting the audit. This is an important moment for our club and as a board member I would want all the facts verified and validated before making such an important decision. I see nothing wrong with carrying out this review as it can only help ensure the correct decision is made.At the end of the day clubs will finish 1-18, expectations are perhaps unrealistic but given injuries I thought your finish was about right. I am also a bean counter, I started out in Audit some 22 years ago - but luckily got out. I doubt Choppers is going to audit to the standard to the standard you speak of. It makes no sense to conduct this so publicly other than to provide validity for a decision that has already been made - I learned that from my time as a consultant.I've explained this previously and in other threads. We'll have to agree to disagree then. I will agree that you are lucky you're out of the auditing business. I've just about had enough of it myself. I just hope the decision on our coach is made with as much objective information as possible, rather than purely on a like Bluey / dislike Bluey basis as is the case with some supporters on this board and in the media who have little idea what is really going on in the inner sanctum, other than via unsubstantiated reports.I am also a bean counter, I started out in Audit some 22 years ago - but luckily got out.
