I accused Tom Morris on Twitter for pushing the GC narrative and he sent me a PM

We have had 4 or 5 PM exchanges since and it’s obvious in his messages that he knows Melb prefers to deal with GC but he has no intel on Trac preferred club
Wow, amazed he responded

I think now that that cat is out of the bag, it will scupper any chance we had as the big players will come in for him - Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn now. its going to be low cost with a chance for a big upside that will drag these clubs in for him

Collingwood = Don't need anymore contested mids
Geelong = Worpel incoming
Hawks = Merrett their focus

FFS he had issues , some of which got a tub of mayo slapped on by the media

He has his shit together , has done for a while now

His contract is on par with Trac who is 2 years older
This time last year on sunset he was blind drunk in his jocks in the Main Street of a small country town of SA attempting to push a car unsuccessfully.

I like him.

What constitutes a good pick is the question. I would be happy to do this years but not our future 1st.

I think our second will go to Brisbane as part of the Ah Chee trade.
You obviously mean our 2026 2nd, I'm still hopeful Hamish and the crew have their eyes on a couple of players this draft that project plenty of growth in their game with later picks.

He would need to drop significantly on draft night and it would no doubt constitute 2026 and possibly 2027 draft capital with Oliver in the deal. That's not happening.

Would need to move into the top 10, somewhere around 7 or 8 and that's not happening unless the club trades a future first. The Sharp train left the station once we locked in a finals spot this season.

Difference is the only one they are showing they really want rid of is Oliver?

It didn't sound like Melbourne were all that interested in holding Petracca to his contract a few days ago when they talked about his fresh start
