The stats suggest he really should be considered as a full time midfield prospect.
Nah. Not a natural ball winner. He's never shown he's capable of getting enough of the ball to be a mid.
That was my point - Peatling is listed as someone we could have taken over Parnell. Instead we busted with Parnell who never looked like he could compete physically at AFL level and it cost us a future second pick (and loose change) to bring Peatling to the club three years later
He's quoting stats. What Crowcast thinks is kind of irrelevant. A player with stats like that should be considered a midfield prospect, and as you would know he was a mid in U16s so it's not a position he doesn't know how to play.I don't care what the eggspurt at Crowcast says, He's a gun small forward that is very capable of bursts through the midfield even extended bursts and that's the best way to use him.
The look that Davis gave Nicks in the box when HS kicked it OOF against collingwood.
It said everything.

Yeah but did you see the club’s feel-good video of the playing group’s reaction to Schoenberg being selected?? That’s what really counts.
Yes and as he got older, Hewitt could not do it anymore against the top players.
Without wanting to derail or degrade Hewitt's gamestyle which was good enough to get him to World No 1 and win 2 grand slam events - a super super achievement, he really was a player that when he came up against the Nadal's, Federer's etc of the world struggled as they could hit the ball better from the baseline than him.He was too scared to hit the lines anymore when Cahill stopped coaching him. That was what made him elite, the amount of winners he hit that "touched chalk" was sensational during his time as number 1.
Not a midfielderCould we try for Florent? Lol desperate times
Maybe he’s coming with Chad Warner.Could we try for Florent? Lol desperate times

Brissie have painted themselves into a corner. Big bucks for Draper and Allen and Bailey a free agent next year mean they can't offer Ah Chee anything close to what we have. They need him off the books. Let's take it to the deadline. No other club will offer a 1st rounder for him. They have no leverage in this deal. How good he is doesn’t really matter, whether you’re interested or not, our LM group is. Why they’re not offering him the same as we are is irrelevant to their negotiating position. What matters is what they think they can get from us. And at this stage they think they can get more than a future second and small change.
The next step is that Ah Chee’s manager starts questioning whether we can get the deal done. The pressure will start being applied. It’s already impacting logic around here.
Plus I think his style of play was incredibly taxing on the body, particularly his feet. When he was with Cahill, he regularly trounced Federer and Nadal was only 15. Federer didn't start getting on top until 2004 against Hewitt. I remember the US Open in 2001, he belted Sampras in a way I hadn't seen before, made him look second rate at a time when I think he was still number 1.
I really believe from the time Cahill left (wanted to be part time coach, not full time and Hewitts parents said no) that he no longer employed coaches that challenged him (Stoltenberg, Draper) they were more friends, hitting partners, which is probably unfair but it caused Hewitt to become comfortable and for wannt of a Balboa phrase, he lost hiis "eye of the tiger"
Maybe he’s coming with Chad Warner.
if we are losing centre clearance - start him in centre bounce, then he pushes forwardI don't care what the eggspurt at Crowcast says, He's a gun small forward that is very capable of bursts through the midfield even extended bursts and that's the best way to use him.

Happy to disagree - starts games slowlyHe fades in the 2nd half of the season, not a slow starter.
Nicks on record after season saying we need more speed of HBOllie Florent former housemate of Dawsons in Sydney. Fits the age profile though not sure he’s the sort of type we’re in real need of
Peds has a Gary McIntosh styleI'm not sure if its recency bias but I always felt HF was his spot. With an occasional burst in the midfield rather than midfield wit HF bursts
It's not very professional from St Kilda but "abhorrent" is a bit dramatic. The draft period thus far
I think I will remember the abhorrent treatment of Leek Allir
Unless something else falls from the sky ( thanks Reid)
Speculation Bailey will sign a long term extension at Brisbane...until its signed its not, but that would be a big money deal for them so all the more reason to load shed..who else could we go after from them.
